CLS Rider Lauren Riggins Nominated for Incredible National Award

Exciting news!  Our very own Lauren Riggins was selected by the American Road Horse and Pony Association to be its nominee for the 2010 United States Equestrian Federation Youth Sportsman's Award. I know it's a mouthful. But from all of the riders in the country, the ARHPA picked our Lauren as the young lady to represent their breed at our sport's national governing body.
 
As a 2010 nominee, Lauren will be honored during the USEF Annual Meeting at the Hyatt Regency in Lexington KY on January 22, 2011 during the Pegasus Awards Dinner. Lauren also will receive a $500 scholarship.
 
Lauren is the first rider is our history to be nominated for this illustrious award. Lauren has been a CLS rider for more than 10 years. We've never known a harder working, more vivacious young lady. We're so proud of you Lauren!

Welcome to Our Newest Instructor - Jamie!

Please join us in welcoming CLS's newest instructor, Jamie Jankowicz. Jamie comes to us from Kentucky, where she ran her own successful horse training and riding lesson program for several years. She's trained numerous National Champions, and she's a well-respected member of the Saddlebred horse community. Ms. Parker has wanted to hire Jamie for several years. And recently, she convinced Jamie to join the growing CLS program.

Jamie and her husband, Johnny, have three precious children, Khloe, Kylie and Landon. The family also has a stinker Jack Russell dog, Chopper, whom you might see around the barn. However this week, he's at home in "time out" since he wee-weeed on Ms. Jeanne's pink Ughs -- with Ms. Jeanne in them! No, we don't make this stuff up!

Jamie and her family fit right in! We're so glad they're here. Please welcome them -- and Chopper -- to our wonderfully crazy barn!

Special Note from Parker: CLS Rate Structure for 2011

It's never fun to talk about money. I much prefer to talk about adorable babies and sweet, fat, happy horses.  But in order to keep this place afloat for both the babies and the horses, we're having to review and change some of our service rates for 2011.

Please know that we make every effort to keep our rates as low as possible. In fact, we haven't raised lesson prices in six years. But with ever-increasing hay, grain, bedding and insurance costs, we simply don't have a choice.

As of January 1, 2011, the following rate structure will be in place. If you have any questions or would like to discuss, please don't hesitate to contact me immediately. My email is parker@cashlovellstables.com and my direct phone line is 336-971-9388.

2011 Rate Structure for CLS Services

Riding lessons  -- $35 per lesson, if you're paying by credit card or monthly bank draft. Also, please note that if your lesson day falls during a month in which there are 5 riding lessons, you'll be charged for the fifth lesson, as well.

Riding lessons -- $40 per lesson, if you're paying by check at the beginning of each month. Please note that in order to receive permission to pay this way, the CLS office will require another form of payment to be held on file. This will only be used if payment isn't received at the first lesson of each month.

Enforcement of 24-Hour Cancellation Policy:  Please note that in 2011, we will enforce the barn's 24-hour cancellation policy. If you must miss your scheduled lesson for any reason, other than sickness or an emergency, you will be charged for that lesson if you don't contact the barn 24 hours in advance.

Occasional Riding lessons -- $45 per lesson if you're not on our regular riding lesson schedule. This rate will apply for one-time riders, for instance folks who are visiting the area and would like to ride a horse while here.

CLS Horsey Birthday Parties -- $350.00 for a standard two-hour party.  $375 for a Special Themed Party, such as the Princess Pony Party.

Academy Shows -- $300 per rider, per Academy Show. (This is a comprehensive flat rate that includes use of the horse, transportation of the horse, instruction, stabling, enty fees, office fees etc ...)
