About Anthroposophy

GoetheanumRudolf Steiner (1861-1925) introduced anthroposophy (spiritual science) in Europe in the early 1900s.  He wrote books and lectured extensively to diverse audiences, describing methods of spiritual training and preparation for entry into the spiritual world. Steiner founded the General Anthroposophical Society in Switzerland in 1923, and branches exist today around the world.

Steiner also inspired people in all walks of life to take initiative and bring renewal to social life and to their practical work.  100 years later, as a result of Steiner's original contributions,  millions of people around the world are experiencing the benefits.  Waldorf education, Biodynamic agriculture and anthroposophic medicine are some leading examples of work arising from Steiner's guidance.
