Your move schedule is here!

The Edmonton Clinic Health Academy is proceeding on track for full occupancy by the end of December 2011. The move schedule was developed in consultation with APOs from all occupant groups, and the ECHA team. Of course, there are some things over which we have no control. The dates on this schedule assume that construction is completed on time, occupancy permits are issued on time and no extraordinary circumstances arise. The move will take place over four months, from August through December. Please refer to the information below for more specific details about the three stages of the move.

Your APOs have worked tirelessly to ensure your needs are met. Questions about your scheduled move dates should be addressed to them directly.

ECHA Move Schedule

Important information about the move schedule

startpackingYou can start organizing your files any time.  You will have all packing materials and instructions two to four weeks before your move.

When will I get move supplies like boxes?

suppliesAll materials will be available two to four weeks before your scheduled move.  You can request packing materials in advance from your APO.  Please note that boxes are provided for items being moved to ECHA only.  These boxes cannot be used to take things home, to the Goodwill, to recycling etc.  Move supplies are allocated based on the need assessment done by the consultant; supplies that go missing will not be replaced by the consultant.

Can I get some advice on how to sort through my office?

purgeYes.  The move consultant has developed a document to assist you with how you approach cleaning up your files.  Some faculties are developing their own approaches as part of their transition planning.  Special thanks, again, to the Faculty of Nursing for sharing their clean-up/recycle and retention information.  While the Faculty of Nursing's information is specific to their planning, it may provide guidance for you and your tranistion team.  Please refer to the links in the side bar menu.

What am I required to keep on file, where and for how long?

retentionRetention schedules are the responsibility of individual faculties and departments.  Please check with your APO or transition team for advice on document retention requirements.

I 've heard the boxes are all 2ft cubes.  Why can't I use "bankers" or paper boxes for my files?

bankersThe boxes provided by the move consultant conform to the University's standard.  You can certainly choose to pack your files in "bankers" or paper boxes if you prefer, but these boxes won't be provided for you. Remember to that no matter what kind of box you use, you must label it clearly using the labels provided.

Where can we get recycling bins?

binsThis depends on which building you currently occupy.  Please check with your APO or transition team.
