Message to our St. Anastasia School & Church Family
The St. Anastasia School and Church
community continues to send its condolences and prayers to the Okwuone family
during this very difficult time. Thank you for your continued
outpouring of prayers and support during our time of mourning. We began our week
in prayer at mass with our 5th grade students and parents. We met
with 5th grade parents on Monday and throughout the past few days. We
were touched by the many counselors from local agencies and throughout the
diocese who wanted to assist our students with their grief. We are continuously
praying with faculty, staff, and students and are remembering Celina in small
but important gestures like cards, ribbons, and our pink memorial attire. We
will provide more information and the school's response to our community when we
learn more from authorities about the circumstances of Celina's untimely
passing. Tomorrow, May 27th at
1:00 p.m., at St. Anastasia Church, we invite parents, students, teachers, and
parishioners to come to the Lord with their grief and sorrow. We wish to
celebrate Celina's life and start healing the deep wounds that have been left in
our hearts. Media will not be permitted to attend this Memorial Service.

With this honor, Jesse was able to join Dr. Hoeffner on St. A Live, help the 8th graders ring the bell and attend the 8th grade farewell mass with Dr. Hoeffner and Mrs. Richmond.
Jesse did a great job as acting Principal, but was ready to get back to being a Pre-K student by lunchtime!
