Alumni Spotlight -
Alaria (Gina) Taylor (1979-1982)
|
Gina was a member of Wisconsin Singers from 1979 to 1982. "Jim Bates, our choreographer back then, taught me that it's a privilege to be on stage, and that the audience deserves your best effort and total commitment." After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Psychology, Gina found that the work ethic in the Wisconsin Singers set the tone for all her professional performing gigs that followed. Gina says, "Being in Wisconsin Singers had the work ethic of a professional group. We had year-round rehearsals and did around 60 shows a year. It was a good, hard, work ethic. I also found the sense of camaraderie and lack of ego in Wisconsin Signers has helped me get along with everyone I've encountered in my career." Gina has performed in almost every situation imaginable, including dinner theaters, cruise ships, skylight opera, nightclubs, radio, and television. "Read More..."
