R. Cardarelli Executive Ed.D. program designed for full-time professionals 

The first cohort of the Executive Ed.D. program was launched with 13 students. Their diversity in terms of background, geography, and perspective brought richness to the coursework, according to Prof. Steve Staples. For retired Army Col. Rosaline Cardarelli, it was an extension of her life of public service.

Lisa Ownby, MSW, Recruitment Specialist with Preparing Inclusive Educators (PIE) has found her career choice through opportunities and life events. A career in demand, special education stretches a teacher's creative muscle and allows the teacher to perform a wide range of roles in a child's education.

A summer graduate student study abroad course is planned for Ireland. Students may opt for a one-credit or three-credit option for course credit. Ireland provides a site of educational transformation within the European Union and has a long tradition of commitment to education. Applications are due February 1, 2012.
