Rev Dorian Mulvey

St. Anthony on the Desert Episcopal Church turned their recognition award moment into a "pay it forward" moment at the annual luncheon.

Their meaningful generosity is resulting in an innovative and empowering program for the residents at EVMC.

Greetings!

Torrie by Phil

Wow! A New Leaf's Annual Board, Volunteer and Donor Appreciation Luncheon themed,

"Love in Any Language," truly demonstrated the language of love at last week's event.

I hope you all love your jobs like I do. A New Leaf employees enter our doors, spreading their optimism as they choose to change lives through their careers.

We just love our volunteers and they seem to love us back!  We salute all of our volunteers, supporters and award winners.

Thank you to all of our luncheon guests and honorees.

I'm A Better Man Because of You

Guy Bond EVMCA New Leaf's featured guest, Guy Bond, shared a few minutes of his testimony at the annual luncheon.

Guy  successfully completed the East Valley Men's Center (EVMC) program and is four years drug free, after a lifetime of addictions, which resulted in his homelessness. He sees himself as a better man.

When considering individuals who have recovered from addictions, we believe Guy is a miracle! We are fortunate to see these miracles as we invest ourselves in changing lives everyday.

Even though tax day is over,

it's not too early to take advantage of the

2012 AZ Working Poor Tax Credit.

A Light-hearted Moment
Amy and Sue
It was a light-hearted moment...yet deeply appreciated, when Amy Ahlstrom, Vice Chair of A New Leaf's Board and long-time La Mesita champion,  recognized her friend Sue Nelson as "New Donor of the Year" at the appreciation event.

Amy shared that Sue promised to double her giving for next year, as long as she didn't have to speak to the large audience in attendance. No surprise...Amy let her off the hook!

Thank you Glenn and Sue Nelson, for your kind generosity.
