Greetings!

Torrie 3

On Wednesday, January 26th, we celebrated new beginnings for the East Valley Men's Center shelter and for the many men who will pass through those doors, now and in the future.

The dining area in one of the two new resource buildings was packed with dignitaries, interested communicants, volunteers and supporters for an exciting  ribbon cutting ceremony and inspiring words shared by Fred Phail, A New Leaf Board President, Mike Hutchinson, Vice President and City of Mesa District 1 Councilmember, Dave Richins.

The new buildings and renovated sleeping quarters in the men's shelter is a testament to the shared vision and dedicated collaboration of the many individuals and businesses listed on the left of this issue of "Acts of Kindness", accurately named to reflect what YOU do for A New Leaf and the resident's in our shelters.

Thank you all, for enriching their lives and as well as ours.

YOU ARE DOING GREAT THINGS TO CHANGE LIVES

WomanLetter to LaMesita Family Homeless Shetler

Thank you for being a light in my storm, giving me a chance and the tools to stand on my own two feet. Thank you to all the staff for always making sure I had all I needed to succeed here. I've grown here spiritually, emotionally and financially. My self esteem has increased. I will forever be grateful for this safe place I called home for 90 days. It has been an honor and a pleasure. May God continue to bless you all!

Kara
