| Greetings! | |
Can you believe it's already November, a favorite time of year for so many? With the holidays and year-end fast approaching, we at A New Leaf are gearing up for a great season of giving.
There are many rewards for A New Leaf clients when YOU share your desire to make a difference.
Your visits are anticipated with excitement, as you drop off your Holiday Gift Box for the children, families and individuals living in our shelters. You inspire us!
We celebrate each and every Working Poor Tax Credit Donation received, knowing the significant impact it will have on A New Leaf programs. You encourage us to keep going!
We are honored by the selfless giving we see demonstrated by our neighbors, friends, church groups and business associates. You reaffirm our faith in humanity!
This is a time of year, when people stop to consider the "extra" they can do to light up someone else's life. We are grateful to all of YOU for your fire and passion for helping others turn over a new leaf!
On behalf of A New Leaf staff, "Our Warmest Holidays Wishes" to all of you, our committed supporters.
Sincerely,
Torrie A. Taj, CFRE Exec VP of Resource Development |

A FAMILY YOU HELPED
TURN OVER A NEW LEAF
|
Pam entered La Mesita Family Homeless Shelter, with her daughters, as an unemployed mother of two.
She actively searched for employment and was able to find a part-time job within two weeks of entering the program, which eventually turned into a full-time position.
With direction from A New Leaf and help from a Mesa United Way grant, Pam moved her family into unsubsidized housing this past month.

Please take advantage of the Helping the Working Poor AZ Tax Credit by making a ($200/$400 married filing jointly) gift to help those in A New Leaf shelters and program. Assuming you have an AZ tax liability at least equal to the credit amount, then it's NO COST TO YOU!* This is in addition to a credit you may already receive from donations to a public or private school.

| LEAVE A LEGACY |
In life, most people require some kind of assistance, whether it's physical, financial or spiritual. Perhaps a local church congregation or food bank supplied meals during a tough time. Maybe you were given a scholarship that made the dream of college possible. You or a loved one may have been shown especially compassionate care in the hospital during an illness or injury.
During life's struggles, we are often reminded that more must be done to continue positive, humane acts of kindness, and to sustain programs for personal enrichment.
By making bequests and other "planned gifts," you can continue to help organizations that are making an important difference in your community. What better way to thank the people or organizations that have had an impact on your life and others, than to make a contribution from your estate through a bequest?
Gifts large and small are important. Charitable giving is not only for the wealthy!
