Greetings!,

"The public dialogue in which we as a country are engaged is a very high stakes conversation - about the common good and human dignity; about what kind of a theological message we will give by our federal budget priorities and whether the people of Afghanistan or Pakistan - or U.S. soldiers - will live or die; about health insurance for 30 million people, the rights and safety of 15 million immigrants, and the survival of our planet.

~from "The Gospel, nonviolence and civil discourse", by Pax Christi International Co-President Marie Dennis

It is just over one month until Election Day, the first of the presidential debates happens this week, and the political rhetoric is heated and ever-present. Pax Christi USA has created a Resources for Election 2012 page on the website to provide you with the resources for making faithful decisions about how you will engage during this election season. The resources include the latest posts from the Bread for the Journey blog, highlighting the series on civil discourse and respectful dialogue across difference written by Marie Dennis, from which the quote above is excerpted. We've also included links to a variety of resources you'll find at other sites across the web.

Also, if you haven't already heard, the dates for the 2013 Pax Christi USA National Conference in Washington, D.C. have been locked in: June 14-16, 2013. More details will be coming soon!

Below you'll find links to a number of items which we posted or sent out over the past month and which we think are still relevant and of interest. We hope you'll find them useful in your work for peace and justice in your own communities. As always, we are grateful for your ongoing witness to the peace of Christ!
