 Welcome Trish Benton as our new Council Chairperson
Please join us as we welcome Trish Benton as our 2011 Church Council Chairperson. Trish currently serves on our Staff Parish Relations Committee and has accepted the call to serve as Council Chair for the remainder of 2011. Church Council meetings have been changed to the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00pm.

Mission Rummage Sale is THIS Week!!
 Donations & set up Monday, October 3-Wednesday, October 5.
Set up only Thursday, October 6-9 am-5 pm.
Advanced Sale-Thursday, October 6-6-8 pm. Newer and better items will be sold separately in "Today's Treasures" room.
Come use your time and talents to serve our neighbors. And come shop as well!

Withreach Opportunity:
Fall Fest! Sunday, October 30th
Ministry partners are needed for set-up (11:00 am-12:00 pm), tear down (3-4 pm) and to supervise games and activities with the children between 12:30 and 3 pm. Lunch will be provided for all workers. Please contact Roxanne O'Connor at ibroxie@comcast.net or beginning October 9 stop by the Kiosk in the Social Hall to sign up for one part or the whole event.
Items Needed:
We will be handing out Treat Bags at the Fall Fest. You can help by donating bags of individually wrapped and bite-sized candies. Also our Youth will be handing out free coffee and hot chocolate and selling food and beverages to benefit Asbury's Youth and Withreach. Donation slips for all needed items are located in the Social Hall on the grey easel.
Please deposit donations in the bin outside the church office by Sunday, October 23. Thanks so much for your help!! _____________________________________________________ |
Fall Men's Retreat  Sign up today at the Lobby Kiosk for the Army of One God Fall Men's Retreat at Rouzerville Hunting Camp October 28-30. Cost is $35 for the weekend and $15 for Saturday only. Friendship Shalom Community
We're ready for phase 1 of our Shalom initiative. We have the opportunity to tutor Goode Elementary School students in reading beginning mid-October. Come to the Social Hall during Fellowship Time and check out how you can help. Besides tutors we need snack preparers/helpers, transportation providers (church van), and Secret Pals.
