Support Your Einstein Athletes!
The Albert Einstein High School Booster Club will again sponsor a mulch sale to benefit Einstein Athletes. Shredded hardwood mulch will be available at discounted prices for pick-up or delivery (for 15+ bag orders within a 5 mile radius of Einstein)
The mulch sale is a big fund raiser for the athletic programs that participate in the sale each spring. Hall of Fame member and Einstein Baseball Coach Pat Berbakos said: "The baseball team has greatly benefited from the sale that has allowed us to purchase equipment that we would otherwise have to go without because of the limited budget funds for all sports activities." Pat hopes you may: "help to raise even more money this year for our deserving athletes".

The 5th annual AEHSHOF Scholarship Golf Tournament and Scholarship Awards Ceremony will be held at Laytonsville Golf Course on May 14th, 2012. Please mark your calendar and plan to join us for this always fun event.

Roxanne Pierce

While a student at Einstein, Roxanne participated in the Pan American Games in 1971 in Cali, Colombia, placing first in the Uneven Bars, the Vault, All Around and Taking third in both Balance Beam and Floor Exercise.
At the 1972 Olympic Trials, Roxanne was 1st in the All Around and helped the US Olympic Team to a 4th Place finish in the 1972 Munich Olympics. Over the next several years she participated in some of the most prestigious competitions in the world, including the Chunichi Cup, the Riga Invitational and in International competition against powerhouses Hungary and Romania.
From 1975 - 1978 Roxanne attended Temple University on a athletic scholarship until an accident ended her career. She graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1980 and began a career with the Albuquerque Fire Department. She Served as a Firefighter, Paramedic and Dispatcher until her retirement in 2003.
In 1996, Roxanne was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame. In 2002 she served as a torchbearer for the Utah Olympic games and was honored by the Mayor of Albuquerque with a "Roxanne Pierce Day" on January 12, 2002 for her service and accomplishments.
Roxanne currently resides in Albuquerque and has two children, Celestina and Sonyalena.
