Coming Soon - Our New Alumni Website and Directory!  

We're excited to announce that this summer we'll be moving our alumni website to a new format that will be integrated with Collingwood School's website. This will include transferring our alumni directory to a new system that will offer many new capabilities. The new directory will include an alumni business directory and has many other features that will allow alumni to do the following:

• search the directory for your Collingwood classmates
• search by year or geographic region
• send messages to other Collingwood alumni
• edit and update your own profile
• create your own business listing 

Now, more than ever, it's important for all alumni to register on the website so they're listed in the Alumni Directory. Please take a few minutes to register on the website, and if you're already registered, please check your profile and make sure it's up to date.  

We'll be transferring the directory data in late July, so we ask that you please register and/or update your profile by Friday, July 15.  

Alumni Summer Party     

On June 20, the Alumni Association hosted its annual Summer party at Beachside Forno in West Vancouver. Alumni from 1990 through 2010, along with a number of alumni and current faculty, turned out for the event and joined in honouring Lore Acton on her retirement. Our thanks to Collingwood alumni family Paul Chalmers, Barb Inglis and Andrew Chalmers '05 for hosting our first alumni event at Beachside Forno.  

Grad 2006 - 5 Year Reunion      

 On June 4, the Class of 2006 held its 5 Year Reunion. Despite stiff competition from the Canucks game, over 25 alumni made it out to Taylor's Crossing for a great evening. Our thanks to Joey Tai '06 for all his help with the organization of the event.

Dads, Lads and Grads Rugby    

On June 18, the annual alumni rugby event was held at Klahanie Park, with over 50 enthusiastic Dads, Lads and Grads coming out for some spirited games. Afterwards, the Dads and Lads headed off to Earls to catch up with each other and their past Collingwood rugby coaches. Many thanks to Roger Hatch, Dave Speirs, Ian Kennedy and Peter Brampton for their support and to Malcolm Ert '05 for all his help in organizing this event.   

Second Annual Alumni Field Hockey Event

On June 3, over 20 field hockey alumni from 2002 to 2010 dusted off their hockey sticks for a fun filled hockey match at Ambleside Fields. Afterwards, the group headed over to Milestones where they had a great time catching up with each other. Many thanks to Ashleigh Gold for organizing this second annual alumni field hockey event.

Alumni Business Fair at the Spring Fair

A Note of Thanks   

As another busy and successful school year has drawn to a close, I wish to thank everyone in the Collingwood community who has supported the Alumni Association --  the Board of Governors, Headmaster Rodger Wright and the faculty and staff of Collingwood School, and all the alumni and alumni parents who have attended our events.

A special thanks to our dedicated Alumni Executive Committee: Shannon O'Neill '99 (Chair), Christopher Daniel '07, Malcolm Ert '05, Kirsten Morrison '91 and Sara Pedlow '03. They have all put in countless hours throughout the past year to oversee the affairs of the Alumni Association, and Shannon has done double duty as she also sits on the Board of Governors. The Alumni Association is very fortunate to be led by such a committed team, and it has been a great pleasure for me to work with them.  

My warmest wishes to everyone for a wonderful summer. I hope to see many of you at the Welcome Back BBQ and Alumni Pub Night on September 9.
