Whatever the reason, sign up extra drivers this month and we'll waive the application fee!

To add an extra driver for free just click on My membership & Bookings, Then complete the extra driver form and just type in "Oct Special" where it says "Name of member that told you about us?"

*Does not apply to the GoStarter plan.
City of Sydney awards
Thanks to all our members who voted for us in last month's City of Sydney Environmental business award. We were pipped at the post by worthy winners, Reverse Garbage.

Reverse Garbage is a not-for-profit that aims to reduce the amount of waste going into landfill through imagination and creativity.

For years, people have gone to Reverse Garbage in Marrickville to find all manner of materials to re-use around the house, office or classroom. Check them out.

And in the spirit of "if you can't beat them...", we have teamed up to offer all GoGetters a 10% discount at Reverse Garbage's new outlet at Taylor Square - RG2010.

Until the end of the year, all GoGet members get a 10% discount off any purchase over $20 of re-use materials from RG2010. All you have to do is flash your GoGet card!

The discount only applies at Taylor Square and is not to be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.

6 airbags to be standard across passenger vehicles

One of the benefits of being a GoGet member is getting access to the latest safety improvements in new passenger cars and this month we're excited to announce a big step forward for the GoGet fleet.

From this month onwards all new GoGet passenger cars will come with 6 airbags as standard (the above photo shows the airbags deployed in a Yaris). This will include the:

-          Hyundai i30 CW

-          Suzuki Alto

-          Toyota Yaris

-          Toyota Corolla

-          Mini Cooper

-          Toyota Prius

We'll also be following up with instructions on how to use the Bluetooth in our new cars that come with that feature so that if you need to use a phone while driving you can do it hands-free.

Tip of the month - "Do unto others..."
Remember, carsharing only works as long as members are considerate of each other. That means, at the very least:
  • Only using a car during a booking, and
  • Returning the vehicle clean and with at least 1/4 tank of fuel.
Member Profile - What Ken Be Done?

Meet GoGetter Jackie... she just loves wearing Ken Done!

What Ken Be Done is her "tribute to Ken Done and other 80s Australian fashion icons."

She's pledged to wear Ken Done inspired outfits for a whole year to raise money for Social Studio, in Melbourne.

The Social Studio works with young people from refugee backgrounds and through fashion provides training, encourages community engagement and helps create jobs.

It trains young people to design and make original clothing from recycled and excess manufacturing materials.

Check out Jackie's daily blog and relieve the 80s!

Below is a photo of Jackie when she went to pick up a donation of Ken Done goodies from Ken's very own cousin.

If you have a great blog you'd like to share with your fellow GoGetters - let us know about it by emailing us.

If you have any feedback or questions about the service please drop us an email.
