Greetings!

We are truly blessed. So many things have happened in 2010 and looking back, we know that all of our good fortune is directly because of our friends and our extended GPS "family." Each one of you is in part responsible for our bounty of blessings. We share with you friendship, good times, a few laughs and at times, a few sorrows. But just being together makes us stronger. (And a few good booty-kicking sessions don't hurt either!)

As 2010 ends and 2011 begins, we hope you have the time to spend with your families and pause to give thanks for your blessings. We are amazed at how far we've come in so short a time. With your continued support, we know only good things await us in the new year.

Be happy, be healthy, be joyful, be you!

New KRUSH & CURL Sessions Begin Jan. 10
Make 2011 a great year
It may be you, it may be a loved one, or it may be a friend or neighbor. But everyone knows someone who needs to kick it in gear and get serious about getting healthy. Make 2011 the year that you (or that someone you know) get back to being the best you can be.

KRUSH is a 12-week intensive fitness and nutrition program for adults who need to lose 50 pounds or more. If you're wondering if KRUSH really works, here's a statistic: the average weight loss among the participants for the first half of the session was 6.38 percent of their body weight. The most successful participant lost 8.43 percent in the first six weeks. If you've ever seen "The Biggest Loser," you know this is significant. Let us do the same thing for you!

CURL is an eight-week program for children grades 3 through 8 who need to learn to be active, stay active and eat healthy. The children are grouped according to grade so the activities and nutrition lessons are age-appropriate. The emphasis is on getting healthy, but making it fun. It's definitely not the same as dragging a kid to an adult Weight Watcher's meeting.

Space is limited in both programs to make sure there is a small participant-to-trainer ratio and personal attention is the name of the game. Look to our website for more details about KRUSH or CURL. To preregister for either program, call (515) 279-0242.
Trainer's Tip
Help for getting through the holidays ...

Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwannza. Whatever holiday you celebrate, you know sometimes it can be a little stressful. To help you "survive" in style, here are a few tips we found that we know will work for you. We especially like Nos. 1 and 4.

And if No. 4 is for you, keep in mind that GPS has a specially-scheduled interval class at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 24, and another onSaturday, Jan. 1 (yes, you read that right)! The cost is $15 and it is open to everyone, so hook a stray relative or two and have them come enjoy the hour with you!

Preregistration is required. There is a sign-up sheet on the front desk. Just let us know if you plan on being there!

Might Be a Good Idea to Pre-Register
New faces means full classes
As you may know -- and maybe you even took advantage of it -- GPS offered a Groupon voucher Dec. 1. The Groupon was such a good deal, the response was overwhelming. The voucher was for the regularly scheduled Large Group and Group XPRESS Training classes, and mat classes.

As a result, the regular classes may be a little fuller in the next couple of months, but we want to ensure our beloved existing clients have a spot in their favorite regular classes, so please preregister for the classes you usually attend. You can preregister online, while you are in the studio, or by phone. If you have any questions, please talk with your instructor or Gigi.
bodybuggs® Are Here

For weight loss or just the weight conscious

You've seen these on the arms of "The Biggest Loser" contestants (and Rebecca still wears one). The bodybugg® calorie management system is a proven solution in weight loss management. It works by keeping an accurate daily record of calories consumed vs. burned making it easier to stay informed, make decisions and more effectively manage your weight.

The bodybugg system can cost $250 or more when purchased elsewhere, but GPS is offering its clients a chance to purchase the system for $230. The next order is being placed Monday, Jan. 3. If you want a bodybugg, please place your order and prepay before the end of the year.
All of the GPS family wishes you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year. We hope to see you soon and often and appreciate your continued support!

Sincerely,

Gigi, Rodney & the Training Team
