What's New at NAB from Telos
Phones, Codecs and Streaming Solutions
Telos HX1 & Hx2 hybrids

At Telos, we've been hard at work on award-winning new products such as the Telos VX VoIP broadcast phone system, Z/IP ONE IP codec, and Hx digital hybrid telephone interfaces. Hx1 and Hx2 have received rave reviews (read some here), with over 700 purchased in just 7 months! Hx represents the highest state-of-the-art in hybrid performance, with Telos processing technologies that take the POTS hybrid to a new level of consistently superior performance, even with cell phones.

Telos VX Broadcast VoIP SystemThe Telos VX Broadcast VoIP System is an amazing new phone product engineered specifically for broadcasters. IP-Audio technology makes it possible to share lines between studios, all with the touch of a button. And your listeners will hear the best caller audio thanks to advanced new Telos hybrids and an all-digital connection path. VX is scalable, up to 50 incoming phone lines in large facilities, but is still cost-effective even for single-station use. Our partners at Broadcast Bionics have sweetened the pot and developed a PhoneBOX VX Lite version that will ship at no charge with each VX system. Come by our booth at NAB to see this tight integration live!

iQ6 Telco GatewayAlso at NAB you'll see the new iQ6, Telos' telco gateway made especially for the new Axia iQ console. iQ6 carries six lines worth of audio, hybrid control and backfeed on one skinny CAT-5 cable. You can control it directly from Axia iQ consoles equipped with the Telco expansion frame, or by using the Telos VSet12 or VX Producer software to take and screen calls directly via your producer's PC.

Telos Z/IP ONE IP CodecThe new Z/IP ONE IP codec is the newest addition to the Telos family. It is designed to maximize audio quality from public IP networks and mobile phone data services, including connections behind NATs and firewalls. The Z/IP ONE along with the full Zephyr product line will be on display at NAB.

Telos ProStreamAnd it wouldn't be NAB without the debut of new gear! Telos ProStream is the broadcast product you asked for - a hardware-based streaming audio encoder. This 1RU box combines three boxes in one; processing, encoding and streaming, with no PC needed. It's the easiest way to stream your station's audio and it sounds fantastic - swing by and hear for yourself!

Omnia.11What's new at NAB from Omnia
Radio and streaming audio domination

NAB 2011 will be very exciting for people who love audio processing!  First of all, the already-legendary Omnia.11 will be available for your examination and review. At last year's NAB, Omnia.11 won a trifecta of awards from the three leading industry publications: a Cool Stuff Award from Radio World Magazine; a Pick Hit from Radio Magazine; the inaugural TechInk Award for Innovation by Radio Ink Magazine. There are already Omnia.11s on air from New York to Los Angeles and throughout the world. One New York station was so impressed, they bought THREE, wanting to make sure that even in backup and auxiliary mode, they were never without their game-changing Omnia.11. It's an absolute must for any critical competitive situation.

For the first time anywhere in the United States, we will be demonstrating the brand new Omnia.9, which the "golden ear" crew has been calling the single most versatile audio processor ever created. This baby was the hit of Processing Omnia.9Freakday a few weeks ago when it was sneak-previewed in The Netherlands! Omnia.9 isn't simply a "processor," because it does so much more. It has individually controlled, independent processing for FM analog, HD-1, HD-2 and HD-3, plus on-board, independent encoding and processing for ALL of those services' internet streams. There's also something we call "Undo" technology, which combines a source declipping algorithm and program-adaptive multiband expander which removes distortion from source material to correct over-processed CDs, the biggest problem with today's contemporary music. Omnia.9 Developer Leif Claesson and Frank Foti will be on hand to show you all of the features.

Omnia ONEWe'll have Omnia ONE, the "little bulldog" processor which sounds like you paid thousands more, and can be switched to FM, AM, or Multicast processing with a simple download. Omnia ONE was the single most successful processor launch ever - we almost couldn't make them fast enough! In fact, there are now over 5,000 on air. We think that may be a world's record!

You should also take a moment to hear Omnia AX/E, the Omnia software processor and encoder for internet streaming It runs in the background as a Windows service, can be fully-managed and configured remotely with a web browser, and can even process and encode multiple streams in various formats, simultaneously, to MP3 or AAC, feed a Shoutcast-style or Windows Media Server in the MP3 format, or stream to Adobe Flash clients through a Wowza Media Server. You can also pair Omnia A/XE with your existing Windows Media, Real, mpgPRO or MP3 streaming encoder.

Omnia-6EXiOur traditional favorites will be there, too. Omnia 6EXi, the famous FM processor which is on more top rated stations in America and the world that any other device. Omnia 5EX for AM, the first choice of leading stations like WSM, home of The Grand Ole Opry, WOR, and a host of others who need to sound as big as their reputations. And Omnia.8x, featuring the power of EIGHT discrete three-band stereo Omnia audio processors in a single, networked box - perfect for HD Radio multicasts, streaming Internet audio, network delivery systems and cluster installations.

What's New at NAB from Axia
New consoles, new software, new Intercoms
Radius AoIP Console

Wow, is it NAB again already? Seems like it was just yesterday we were haunting the halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center. As my old friend Mike Uhl likes to say, "I  lived in Vegas for a year. One week at a time." Axia has what we (immodestly) think are some pretty spectacular new things to show you this year. Consoles, software, intercoms, hardware routing controllers - we've definitely kept our R&D elves chained to their computers this year.

First up on the list is our latest IP-Audio mixing console, Radius. It's pretty amazing: an 4-bus, 8-fader console with 16-input mixing engine that also contains a built-for-broadcast Ethernet switch with Gigabit, GPIO ports for machine control, Livewire connections and more. There's lots of big-console features: automatic mix-minus, talkback, console configuration snapshots, switchable VU/PPM metering, and Record Mode one-touch recording. It's a perfect iQ AoIP Console Familystandalone console, but it networks too. Best of all, the price is just $5,995, making Radius the most affordable AoIP console yet.

Second: iQ, our award-winning expandable console that can be sized from 8 to 24 faders. iQ is packed full of features but is also surprisingly cost-effective - you can have a 16-fader board for $9,985. But that's just the beginning of the story! iQ has 4 stereo mixing buses, built-in high-resolution OLED meters (VU or PPM, of course), auto-mix-minus, built-in phone integration for on-console control of Telos iQ6 or VX phone systems, and a integrated console engine with tons of audio analog, AES and Mic-level I/O, an Ethernet switch with Gigabit connectivity, and an available backup power supply with automatic switchover. You can even daisy-chain 4 iQ consoles without the need for an external Ethernet switch.

 Axia SoftSurface

Of course we'll have Element 2.0, the world's favorite IP console - over 2,000 now in the field -  and the PowerStation integrated console engine.. And we'll be demonstrating new SoftSurface virtual console software that lets you take control of any Element and run it with your computer, remotely, just as if you were there - perfect for remote broadcasts or off-site tweaking. You can even use SoftSurface with one of Axia's DSP mixing engines and make a "virtual console" that simulates a physical mixing surface. No board required! Perfect for studios with space limitations.

You'll also see the latest additions to our IP Intercom line, the world's only AoIP broadcast intercom system, and the new Pathfinder Core Pro, a hardware routing appliance that puts the routing power of PathfinderPRO software into a hardened, PC-free platform.

 Axia IC.20D Desktop intercom station

We look forward to seeing you at the show!

Cheers,
