Made with recycled cardboard, our Eco Pack boxes were custom designed to hold six 8-oz or 20-oz jars, using no extra packing material. This reduces the environmental footprint of shipping honey by minimizing the natural resources used and keeping non-

biodegradable materials out of landfills.

At Volcano Island Honey Co., we are constantly searching for ways to reduce our negative impact on the Earth and enhance our positive one. Our remote location in Hawaii (the most isolated archipelago on earth) makes this especially challenging, since we rely on connections to faraway places to reach both customers and supplies.

While our business depends on long distance transport, we try to minimize the associated environmental costs wherever possible -- such as by using our Eco Six Pack boxes. We also fuel our honey truck with locally-sourced biodiesel, obtained from Pacific Biodiesel, a Maui-based company that recycles used vegetable oil.
