Greetings!
When you visit the Dacula Farmer's
Market this coming Saturday, you can expect to see fresh local produce like
spring onions, mixed greens and Easter Egg radishes as well as to see the Goat
Lady's newest baby goats. It is Buyer's Club pick-up week, so if you didn't get a chance to place your order, contact Pilar at the farm at (770) 339-3065, to reserve one of her extra boxes she ordered. There are only a few, so first come first serve.
Sharon Bicknell sold old fashioned peanut butter
cookies with the fork marks in the top this past Saturday. I'm eating one as I
write, and I'm washing it down with a frothy glass of Johnston Dairy milk. It
reminds me so much of visiting my aunt and uncle's farm when I was a kid.
Nothing was better than Aunt Eleanore's peanut butter cookies and milk, but
Sharon's are close. Just don't tell my aunt I said so.
Please, please,
please remember to bring canned goods and other shelf stable foods for the
Spring Fever Food Drive. We have one more week after this Saturday when all the
food goes to the Quinn House Food Bank.
See you at the market
Saturday.
Best regards,
Anthony Stokes
