Workshop Focuses On Finding Resources

Whatcom County is holding part II of its Transition Workshop series on Saturday, March 20.

This session, called Mapping Your Community, will help individuals and families identify the resources, activities, places and opportunities available in the community.

How can we look differently at resources that might be just around the corner?  What strategies are most successful for creating partnerships?  Where have others found a welcoming environment? Mapping Your Community is designed to increase the ability of parents, caregivers and individuals with developmental disabilities to connect to existing community resources to help building a meaningful life.
