Prince Harry, party-loving royals and regular folks welcome at the DB.

The international press reported that appletinis, sambuca and champagne cocktails were recently served at Buckingham Palace for the royal wedding after-party  (same party where Prince Harry was seen dancing on the windowsills and "stage-diving" onto the dance floor). We're happy to note that we do serve those very same cocktails every single night of the week -- so please drop on by and behave as the royals do.*

*Please note that Phillip is unlikely to catch you if you stage-dive into the bar. It's difficult to catch projectile customers and mix drinks at the same time.

The Downtown Diamondback has been feeding the best of downtown's workers now for a couple of weeks.  These upwardly mobile individuals have been so nice to support us and try our delicious salads, sandwiches and soup. Shows there are nice people all over this city, and we want you to come give us a try whether you work downtown or not.  Scroll down for more on that.

Please note that we do not have a view of the Atlantic Ocean or any other ocean at the Diamondback; we just liked this picture. And Phillip does make a darn fine margarita.

lots happening this month 

This month is action packed, and spring is a good time to head on over and say "why not" to a nice cold martini with friends. Our world-famous (well, kinda) gazpacho is back and it does taste so delicious.  

Hope you'll join us for lots of our events this month, starting with Hope du Jour  on Tuesday, May 3. This is a city-wide fundraiser for Crisis Control Ministry and we'd love to have you with us. Then on Thursday, May 5, we'll be celebrating Cinco de Mayo Diamondback style with good tequila and specials that make your mouth water.  This weekend we're looking forward to serving a special Mother's Day Dinner. Cool moms like an invitation to the Diamondback, and they certainly wouldn't mind a homemade card with some strappy little Jimmy Choo shoes.

Friends -- it's margarita time. And Jimmy Buffett-- you'd like this party.   Join us on Thursday night for perfectly blended, ice-cold margaritas that will knock your socks off.  We'll have some Murphy-mex style dinner specials, and we're planning to put a little kick in the food to wake us all up a bit.  Come join us -- we'll have some great sports action on TV and the good tequila on ice.

Our new Downtown Diamondback opened last month in the Park Building, and we appreciate everyone's support so much. Thank you! The Park Building is beautiful and we couldn't imagine a nicer bunch of folks working there and in the vicinity. The DD serves sandwiches, soups and a large variety of salads. You can call in or stop by anytime from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm.  Thought you might like to see some pics:

The Downtown Diamondback is located at 101 North Cherry Street in the Park Building. It's a take-out place, but we have nice tall tables and a lounge area with a TV so you can eat inside if you'd like. There are also tables outside and in the pretty atrium. Well, no one.  Yes, in the history of our bracket contests, we can say this has never happened: there's no real winner. Of course, none of the basketball teams that anyone thought would win won.
