UPDATE 5 ON THE EARTHQUAKE

It has been encouraging to see the outpouring of donations and volunteers to help reach out to those in need.

After notices went out, in one days time, the Nisshin Christ Church sanctuary was filled with items donated and bought to be delivered to relief areas.

Some relief centers in the North are still without basic needs. Water, food and fuel are top priorities.

There is just too much to do and the attention on the nuclear crisis has also hampered effort to get relief to those who need it.

In coordination with our MTW team in Chiba, we will be sending a truck filled with supplies to areas that are known to have needs.

Some of the items included are baby diapers, adult diapers, feminine products, wet wipes, instant ramon, canned food with pull tops, can openers for other canned goods, food that does not need cooking, chocolate, ready made rice in single-size packages, batteries -all sizes, solar phone chargers, 20 liter gasoline containers and water containers.

We appreciate so much your concern and prayers.

Please pray that through these efforts many would be reached and cared for at this time.
