Ukalaliens Songbook Workshops are bringing us to full houses filled with new folks to teach! We've been lending our Kala ukuleles and initiating the uke-curious to the joys of ukulele. People are responding by loving the instrument and strumming to big smiles and singing along. The Ukalaliens songbook method is really fun work and we love doing it. If you'd like to learn uke from us we have two more offerings this month. One is the uke class at our house on Monday, August 24. The other is a mini-uke set at our final appearance at the Airplay Cafe on Tuesday, August 25. Contact us for more information.
Kate & Steve tour this Fall bringing songs, ukuleles
and harmony to people all around the country. Booked engagements
include shows in historic clubs, an afternoon with Pete Seeger at the
Pumpkin Festival in Beacon, NY, workshops and song circles "Johnny
Appleseed" style to help people begin to learn to sing, play ukuleles
and harmonize.
BTW - We are seeking a roadworthy vehicle for the tour ahead. We need a vehicle we can live in as we travel from town to town to present workshops and performances. We are carrying 20 instruments (and may add another dozen ukes to the mix!). We are thankful for our old bus getting us this far but now it's time to find a new workhorse to tour in. Thank you to the wonderful people who have contributed to our cause to "harmonize community" through our songs, music and ukuleles.
