Safety and Security

We've added a new topic to our popular seminar series -  Functional Safety (Profisafe) and IT Security (PROFInet).

This free, one-day seminar takes place in Manchester on May 12th addresses the key safety and security issues arising from the use of digital communications technologies in automated manufacturing and advanced engineering applications. Covering key application areas such as packaging, printing, electrical and electronics assembly, robotics, automotive engineering, drives, mechanical handling and logistics, control systems and energy management, it focuses on the safety aspects of system design and operations. Supported by live demonstrations and case studies the seminar will be of great value to Designers, Production Engineers and System Engineers involved in design, operation and maintenance of modern automated factories and machinery.

This event will provide delegates with an excellent networking opportunity and the ability to speak to our experts whom, we promise, will not force you to buy anything.

The PROFIBUS Group is supporting the Automation and Control for Energy conference in Manchester where readers of the newsletter can claim a special 10% discount if booking before 28th January and quoting VIP Code: KA0105PBEM

C&I specialists throughout Power Generation, Oil and Gas industries are facing the same sets of challenges: obsolescence in legacy systems; stringent reliability and efficiency targets set against tight budgets; and the increased risk of cyber infiltration that comes with increased levels of digitisation.

Delegates of Automation and Control for Energy will learn from the leading energy companies' strategies for dealing with this, often conflicting, set of demands. Solutions presented will be holistic; covering technology, processes & human factors.

Delegates will benefit from both Power and Oil company case studies in the plenary talks. They will be able to choose from Oil & Gas or Power Generation speciality tracks and take the opportunity to drill down into technical and operational problems in roundtable discussions.
