to offer attractive discountsfor their Beaming Bioneers Conference
program and other educational materials. All Title III and V educational
institutions are eligible for this program.
BrightTALK Green Building Summit provides webcast-based discussions on the benefits of building green. Topics vary from technical to logistical issues in green design and construction.
Do you know your campus' sustainability progress? Sustainability Tracking, Assessment &Rating System (STARS) is a voluntary, self-reporting framework offered by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) to colleges and universities for gauging their relative progress towards sustainability.
Looking for strategies that make energy costs at your school more affordable? BOMA Energy Efficiency Program (BEEP�) is an innovative operational excellence program by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Foundation to teach professionals how to reduce energy consumption and costs with proven no- and low-cost strategies for optimizing equipment, people, and practices.
Is your school looking for funding sources to build green? The Higher Education Act created the University Sustainability Program (USP) to fund competitive grants to colleges and universities as well as higher education consortia, associations, and alliances for the purposes of establishing new or existing sustainability programs.
Also, the Energy Independence and Security Act Section 471 created the Energy Sustainability and Efficiency Grants and Loans for Institutions (ESEGLI) program, which provides up to $500 million in loans and up to $250 million in grants annually for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects to higher education institutions, public schools, and local governments. |

The College of Menominee Nation is located on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Wisconsin, and is one of the 37 Tribal Institutions in the U.S. Its library building is the first construction on the campus to implement USGBC's LEED-Silver rating criteria. This institution is effectively championing sustainability practices on its campus.
