Spring Session at the Writing Salon...

Creativity, Craft, & Community

Hi Folks,

Spring Session is rapidly approaching. Now's the time to peruse, choose and sign up for a class or two or three. We've added another special "package" deal for bargain hunters (the intermediate level Fiction Writing/Novel Writing "combo"in Berkeley (taught by Jamey Genna and Elaine Beale). This is in addition to the beginning level Intro to Fiction/Starting Your Novel "combo" (taught by Junse Kim and Karen Bjorneby), which we have been offering for a long time in both Berkeley and SF.

We're also offering some new classes. I'm especially excited about Nick Mamatas's 5-week "Commercial Fiction: Writing the Popular Page-Turner" class in Berkeley, as well as my own 9-week class,"A Writing Salon 'Reading Salon'" in San Francisco.

Please don't hesitate to give me a call if you need advice on what class to take. If I can't answer your questions about a class, I'll put you in touch with the teacher.

Best,
Jane

P.S. You can send this email on to others who might be interested. There's a link for doing this at the bottom lefthand side of this email, directly above the "Safe Unsubscribe" option).

Jane's Writing Salon Blog
Lisa Alpine Not everyone is aware that my "Writing Salon Mistress Muses" blog has evolved into the primary place where I announce upcoming events featuring our teachers OR our students (past and present). I also post updates about teachers/students who have recently gotten something published and want to get the word out. By published, I mean anything from poems in small lit mags to personal essays in the local newspaper to novels or memoirs...or any book at all. I also like to include excerpts or links to excerpts from these publications. You can subscribe to this blog. Check it out! And feel free to send me your announcements. If you don't send 'em, I won't know about them.  No need to be shy or overly modest. Share your success with others. Self-promotion is a good thing!
Our Slow Website
We've been experiencing intermittent problems with our website. Sometimes it takes way too long for pages to load, which can be annoying, to say the least. This is a server problem. The only thing we can do about it is switch servers, which we plan to do soon, but first we have to solve a couple of other technical problems. In the meantime, the only thing you can do is keep trying until the page loads.

We appreciate your patience!
