The winds of change are blowing at the office....
 Paddle Canada Pagaie Canada is proud to annouce that Graham Ketcheson has been hired as our new Executive Director and is currently rumbling through the office getting up to snuff with all our administraive going's on. On behalf of the board we welcome Graham to the team and are excited for what he and this new position will do for the future of your paddling assocociation. For those that don't know Graham, stay turned for his intrduction in the Winter issue of Kanawa.
Graham will be at the helm, but only part-time until the new year. He will be full time starting in January 2010. Therefore our office is on very limited hours until then. Please do continue to call or email and leave a messsage and we will respond.
Sue Burns has left us and we would like to express a hugh thank you for her years of service to PC. As with all of you she has connected with you across the country, join us in wishing her well in her future endeavours.
You will see some changes as we move along to 2010 and feel free to offer Graham and any us some thoughts on how to serve you better.
After getting through our first year with the new website and web-based entry system we have noted some needed upgrades and fixes. Thank you all for your patience, inputs and embracing of the new system. Some of the work remaining was originally part of the set-up yet to be completed. It went live in March and the true testers - you - detected many benefits and shortfalls.
One shortfall we noted as a board and at the office was the loss of getting paper invoices in the snailmail. With the new system that is no longer. Focusing on what we do - paddling - has left us with significant delays in getting courses turned around. A web-based auto-reminder was intended and is slated for the coming year. As 2009 is coming to close we are extending a final reminder to those that have yet to file their course reports for 2009 and complete the payment process. We are asking you do so by December 15 and that would make all our volunteer lives much easier. We may have Graham or your provincial rep follow-up to assist if you are having difficulty with the new web-process.
