5 Great Reasons to Visit OLP This Week!
Reason # 5 - We've cleaned up post - Come to the Stable!

Come to the Stable brought hundreds of people to our front lawn and helped to raise a truckload of food for the Minnehaha Food Shelf. The camel, donkey, sheep, and calf were crowd-pleasers, but the quiet beauty of the church at night, the lovely carols, and the welcoming spirit of the shepherds and volunteers were sure highlights. Thank you to all who helped put together a wonderful display. The set-up, event, and clean-up all went smoothly. Click on the photo below for more images from the event

Reason #4 - One Starry Night: A Family Nativity Story

The Christmas story will be reenacted on Wednesday, December 21 at 6:15 pm. All are invited to Pates Hall to watch the drama unfold. The families of Wednesday Night Religion have been preparing for this evening and are proud to present this timeless story.

Reason #3 - Our Beautiful Choirs
Music is an important part of our community and the Our Lady of Peace choir will help in the celebration of our Christmas Eve Masses. The Children's Choir will help us celebrate our 5:00 pm Mass on Christmas Eve and our Adult Choir will give us energy during our 10:00 pm Christmas Eve Mass. Come, listen, and sing with our wonderful musicians and vocalists on a celebratory evening.

Reason #2 - See the Endurance of Fr. Paul
Every weekend, visitors to Our Lady of Peace will leave Mass with an inspiring thought, a deeper connection, or a chuckle or two courtesy of Fr. Paul and our pastoral staff. However, the endurance of Fr. Paul will be tested this weekend as he will celebrate Mass four times in 18 hours. Can he still bring his usual energy? Check the Christmas Mass schedule and join us during the beginning, middle, or end of this special weekend.
The # 1 Reason to Visit Our Lady of Peace this Weekend - It is Christmas!
Maybe your Advent wreath is fully lit, your Christmas tree is up, and your Nativity scene is just waiting for baby Jesus. Or maybe you don't celebrate every week, but feel a need to make it to church on Christmas. Whatever your reason, we are grateful for all who walk through our doors. Know that you are welcome at Our Lady of Peace to join us on this joyous and wonderful Christmas of 2011. Full Christmas Mass schedule.

Many Thanks

Recently, Deacon Paul Tatone made the long trek to Mobridge, South Dakota and the nearby Standing Rock Reservation. He delivered an outstanding amount of presents and necessities that were donated by the people and families of Our Lady of Peace. Many thanks to all who donated and help maintain our connection to Standing Rock

It is the season of sending holiday cards and we have been delighted to receive a handful of cards in the mail with great photos of our parishioners. We would like to put together a holiday slideshow of your Christmas cards.
