Make Christmas Rock @ Standing Rock A few years ago Our Lady of Peace youth worked at Standing Rock Indian Reservation in South Dakota. They were truly changed by the experience and moved by the condition and needs of this community. They decided to try to do something and not forget the people they met there. In 2010 a Toy and Winter Items and Toiletries Drive was held during the early part of December. We were able to collect almost a van full of necessities. Dave Bouche drove this to the reservation. The people of Standing Rock couldn't believe the generosity and were so happy to have a new toothbrush-scarf-and even a toy or new soap. We want to do this again!  Deacon Paul Tatone has volunteered to drive the items to South Dakota. Our Lady of Peace youth have been advertising and collecting -but this year we do not have enough donations to fill a car trunk. The final collection date is December 16.  Could you help out and donate a small toy, scarf, mittens, comb, toothbrush, or other item? There are boxes at the church entrances. OLP Youth gather on Tuesday and Thursday evening to wrap and pack the gifts. Thank you for whatever help you can provide.
