Join Team NCPF on October 10th |
Dear Friends of NCPF:
The Walk for Hope will take place on Sunday, October 10, 2010 (10am) at the Angus Barn in Raleigh, NC. Come early for pre-Walk activities including exercise warm-ups and refreshments! There is a $60 entrance fee to participate in the Walk which includes a t-shirt and a terrific lunch after the Walk. This is a kid friendly event.
Over the past 22 years, the Foundation of Hope has raised 3 million dollars which has been given primarily to UNC School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. With this seed money, the faculty and staff at UNC-Chapel Hill have been able to raise 100 million dollars in additional research monies. This is a testament to the many, many individuals who support the Foundation of Hope, and its mission to find cures for mental illness through research. This year, the Foundation of Hope also received community support grants from GlaxoSmithKline which it was able to disseminate to the community to further the efforts of treatment and advocacy for individuals with mental illness. You too can be a part of this exciting and meaningful endeavor by supporting the Annual Thad and Alice Eure Walk for Hope. Other ways to support the Walk and the NCPF are to contribute to the team total. Contributions in any amount are welcome. You can help us man the information table after the Walk or contribute to our annual coffee basket which NCPF donates to the Raffle held after lunch. Please go online to the Walk for Hope website www.walkforhope.com to register or make a contribution. Our team name is NCPF. You can also mail your contribution to: Foundation of Hope, 9401 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27617 with NCPF in the memo.
I hope you will join us in any way you can. It is also a wonderful experience to meet the many advocates who are dedicated to making the world a better place for individuals with mental illness. Sincerely, Lois Cavanagh-Daley Team Captain NC Psychoanalytic Foundation |
