Barbara Walters has been assisting designers and homeowners at
Tile Wholesalers for the past five years. Her ability to find the perfect tile for her clients comes from her highly attuned listening skills. She always makes sure that she understands the interests and needs of the client before recommending any tile. Barbara has found that each client is unique in his or her wants and needs. Striking a proper balance and assisting with selecting the most appropriate products is what she enjoys the most.
TW: Where do you get your inspiration from?
BW: I am usually inspired by the client's personality and the samples they bring. Of course, working in a showroom environment, I get inspired by the variety of products I see every day.
TW: What is your favorite tile line?
BW: There are so many great lines, but I really like Crossville and Jeffrey Court because they have a variety of styles and sizes, so you can create many different looks without mixing a lot of color. I also enjoy working with Alyse Edwards. One of their newest offerings is a water jet cut collection of natural stones, embedded with real stainless steel; a truly amazing, custom effect that is quite affordable!
TW: What has been your favorite project?
BW: There have been too many to list! I did assist in the selection process for two bathrooms that were recently remodeled by Custom Kitchens by Martin. The project was featured in our fall 2010 E-Newsletter. It was fun because we combined so many different elements from a variety of manufacturers.
TW: Any additional information you would like to share with the design community?
BW: I am excited to share that I will be attending Monroe Community College next year to begin work gaining an Interior Design Certificate. I hope to gain a deeper insight and a better understanding of the design field. There are many exciting classes, but I am most intrigued by some of the new CAD programs they will be offering. My hope is to gain a valuable, educational experience that I can translate into the real world. This will, in turn, help make the selection process easier and more beneficial to all of my clients.
