Well, another month has passed and we just cannot believe how quickly we have arrived at February. Given the fact that this is the shortest month in the year, and we have a lot going on here at Silky's in the coming weeks, we anticipate February will fly by as well. Before you know it, St. Patrick's Day will be knocking on our doorstep!

Mardi Gras Festival- Tues. Feb 16th
It's time to put on your mask and throw your inhibitions by the wayside... Mardi Gras 2010 is here!
This
Fat Tuesday, you can stroll into your local pub and get a little taste
of New Orleans cookin'. On our menu you'll find many of your favorite
creole dishes from the bayou, including jambalaya, crawdads & Cajun
shrimp.
Mardi Gras beads will be flowing, as will the Southern
Silky Punch; and at the end of the evening, the King & Queen of the
Carnival will be crowned. So don yourself with festive attire and embrace the glory of gluttony!

21st Annual Chili Cook-Off: Sun. Feb 28th
If you fancy yourself a good cook with a special chili recipe in your
repertoire, then here's your chance to shine. Enter your chili in our
21st Annual Chili Cook-Off at Silky's.
And if you'd rather eat
chili than cook it, this is an event for you too. Sample the various
chili entries and vote for your favorite. So, swing by the saloon for a
finger-lickin' and bootkickin' good time.
Chili tasting starts at 5PM. Live music from 630-1030PM.
