Hi everyone!
Since the last newsletter, I've been busy with new client work, public presentations, traveling, and developing a new offering to debut in the next newsletter. I'm also excited to announce, back by request, our two-day Whole-brain Facilitation workshop in October.
Details are below where you'll also find article links, creativity thoughts, news about recent and upcoming events, interviews, and more. Enjoy the final days of summer! Create. Play. Engage! It's not about boxing creativity into our current constructs - it's about expanding our constructs via creativity. :-)
Warmly, Michelle

Breakthroughs at Every Turn! I loved this intersection so much when I saw it, I had to capture it. All I had was my cell phone so the quality has something to be desired, but the content speaks for itself...and the mission of CCE! :-)

Creativity in Business Thought Leader Series Interviews
This series consists of interviews with creativity and innovation thought leaders around the topic of applied creativity in business and the new work paradigm. The same 6 simple, open-ended questions generate a myriad of rich, diverse, creative responses from pioneering minds.
Since our last newsletter, we've interviewed Steve Shapiro, innovation expert and author of 24/7 Innovation and Goal-Free Living, and developer of Personality Poker; Seth Kahan, Fast Company blogger and author of Getting Change Right: How Leaders Transform Organizations from the Inside Out: Sam Horn, America's Intrigue Expert and author of Tongue Fu! and POP!; Doug Stevenson, founder of All Creation and partner in The Innovise Guys; and Gregg Fraley, author of Jack's Notebook, a business novel about creative problem solving, and the other partner in The Innovise Guys. Check their wisdom out here.

CreativiTweet Musings
Every issue I also include some of my own musings in 140 characters or less. These are some of my recently tweeted thoughts about creativity and emergence.
1. Information is free. Knowledge is acquired. Wisdom is earned. Creativity is cultivated. 2. Creativity's the yes-and dance of weaving parts into a whole - not the either-or battle of maintaining separation. 3. Creativity's like the ocean. It's up to us to learn ITS language, how to ride with it, harness it, play with it, focus it - not manage it. 4. The most untrue words ever spoken by anyone: "I'm not creative." 5. Creativity: life ever-generating new life. 6. The Creative Self needs 3 things to thrive: space, time and attention. 7. In the quiet, fertile fullness of Emergent Space all things are imaginable... and therefore creatable. 8. Where "realists" see walls and dead ends, creators see doors and passages. 9. How we engage the dance between structure and flow becomes our unique creative signature. 10. Debaters ask "Can we...?" Creators ask "How can we...?" 11. There's a big difference between safety and stability in facilitating co-creative process. The former opens the field; the latter shuts it down. 12. Expand your capacity to hold ambiguity and you expand your capacity to create. 13. Emergence has a way of resolving seeming opposites by creating a third way. 14. The future belongs to those who partner with & co-create with the Unknown - not fear it, avoid it or try to control it. 15. To the Improviser mistakes are invitations to create, the unknown is your bff, and the juice is in the journey.
