Greetings!
I was driving home from Verge Yoga a week ago after having taught class and I was overcome by an incredible feeling of fullness. It wasn't just my belly or my mind that felt full. It was as if my whole body was filled to the brim with life and my life experiences.
As like many of you, my life is overflowing with people, things and places to go. There are yoga classes to teach and take, soccer games to attend, dinners to make and laundry to fold. There are family and friends to stay in touch with and new business relationships to make. There are PTO meetings, stacks of books waiting to be read and those ever present leaves on the front lawn.
Our lives are wonderfully packed and filled with opportunity and potential. While it may sometimes seem that it is all too much and happening way too fast, we would truly miss the satisfying energy of a full life it if it were gone.
So while it seems like a collective habit to complain about our busy lives, I recognized, in that moment while driving, that I am thankful for my full life. My calendar may be packed and my house may not be spotless but it is wonderfully and thankfully crammed with potential.

Construction on our new Studio 3 begins this month. We thank you in advance for your patience regarding the noise in our center.
Our plan is to begin our new programming and winter schedule on Monday, January 17th.

Saturday December 11 12:00 - 1:30 pm
Find balance with your body and mind by combining a 40-minute Flow practice and a 35-minute Yin practice. Warm up your body in our dynamic Flow Series and then sink deeply into our Yin Series that uses long and passive holds to work on the deep and dense connective tissues of the body - the tendons, ligaments and cartilage. It's the perfect combination. You will leave class feeling refreshed and renewed.
No flow experience necessary.

I signed up for the BNB program at Verge Yoga because I wanted to make some major changes in my life. From the first class, I knew that I was in the right place. Phil and Dan helped me adapt the poses so that I could work through the stationary series. They were really great.
I deeply appreciate that the people at Verge Yoga are so positive and supportive. That really helped me through some discouraging times and helped me resolve to stay with the program. Phil especially encouraged me to stick with it by drawing from the strength that caused me to sign up in the first place. Soon after the BNB program was over-I felt the poses getting easier because I was finally getting stronger. Yes! That was a big breakthrough for me.
I am now beginning to experience the practice in my everyday life. The postures are in everything I do. I love the setting of simple intentions and that each class is a new beginning. I am more relaxed, physically stronger, looking better and feeling good about all the changes that I am experiencing with the practice.

Before there was yoga in my life, before meditation, there was . . . food! There is a simple pleasure in cooking, whether a holiday feast for friends and family, an egg and toast on a quiet morning, or bottled hot sauce forChristmas gifts. Our yoga encourages us to practice on and off the mat, and it seems to come easily when I'm preparing a meal, one-pointed attention,totally into it - it almost doesn't matter how it comes out. So eat, drink, be merry, drink again - and enjoy every minute of your holidays, even the preparation - cheers/namaste!
