Picnic and Prayer this Sunday

| On Sunday, June 6th, Missio Dei Church will be participating in the commissioning of Camp Manitoqua's the 2010 Summer Staff at Camp Manitoqua.
Camp Manitoqua is one of the ministries that Missio Dei Church
lovingly supports with our time, talents and treasures. On this
summer's staff are some of our very own: Kendra DeBoer, Amanda Geels,
Kayla Godinez, and Cindy DeRuiter. Additionally, Eric Bailey, Kyle and
Kandace Lickel (interns), Kelsey Nelson (intern) Nathan Phillips, Leah
Meskis, and Laura Vroom all serve there as year round staff.
So, on June 6th after corporate worship we will be hosting a delicious lunch on grounds and we need your help! Please RSVP on The City/The Plaza and indicate what YOU and YOUR FAMILY can bring to make this a special lunch!
Also, we are going to take it one step further by praying with and
for the summer staff! If you stick around for the picnic (which will be
delicious) we ask that you join us on a brief, 20 minute prayer walk
with various summer staff.

Manitoqua's Prayer Warriors

As mentioned above, Missio Dei is blessed to have several regular attenders who serve as
counselors at Camp Manitoqua in the summer. We are looking for people
who would be willing to serve as prayer partners to these counselors. To be a prayer partner you need to be willing to pray for the counselor
daily and seek opportunities to bless them (small gifts, food, and mail
go a long way at camp). If you are interested, contact Emily Schissler
via the City or email her and she will set you up! |
Second Tuesday Prayer

We believe that prayer is a vital part of worshiping our Savior. We
want to be people who are in communication with our God as we drive, as
we go to class, as we work, as we spend time with family or friends. We
believe that God listens to, cares about, and responds to the prayers
of those who know Him.
Second Tuesday is our monthly time of guided, extended, corporate
prayer. We meet the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm. This month, Second Tuesday is June 8. We will be
meeting in the Library of Peace Community Church (our parent church)!

Let's Go Camping!!

| For the past three summers we have "canceled" corporate worship on
one Sunday morning to go camping together as a family! This year will
be no different! We will be transplanting our church for a weekend to Potato Creek State Park in North Liberty, IN. Last year sixty-five people roughed it in tents and/or campers. We were able to laugh and eat together, build community, and start an impromptu choir. We built memories!
