10 Memorable On-Screen Deaths
It's hard to ignore the tragic deaths that have taken celebrities such as Michael Jackson and Farah Faucet (among a slew of others) and that at the end of the day a director cannot call CUT and the person pops up to life.
With that being said, Raindance has compiled a list of the most memorable on-screen deaths.
Opposed to real life in the film world there's a myth that the most memorable on screen deaths always comes to a main character. But believe it or not, there's plenty of unforgettable deaths in film that directors have issued out to glorified extras that have a spot in the film for one reason -to die an exhilarating death.
On to the death chambers...

Elsewhere:
MasterCard and Raindance have teamed up to create a ground breaking short film competition- "The Big Lunch."
The entries are in, the votes submitted and now it's down to the lucky thirteen finalists. These remaining films are funny, heart warming, clever, artistic and cheerful but most of all, they're impressive.
Cartoons, bugs, vegetables, super heroes and socks all come together to celebrate their neighbours and neighbourhoods in this superb collection of films. It is now up to the YouTube viewing public to decide who has done it best.
How did they turn their streets into neighbourhoods? You'll just have to watch to find out. And keep clicking, because the video with the most views will be named the winner and awarded £1000 next month.
And guess what?! The Big Lunch initiative has made headlines! Check it out here !

Think it takes a big budget for a film to cash in at the box office? Think again.
With the right script, good acting and directing, a solid production team, and a decent marketing strategy, even low budget films can turn a serious profit.
Unreality magazine examines 15 films over the past 3 decades that have taken that concept and made ridiculous sums of money as a result. Most of the films that make up the list now have a strong cult following.
See if you can scan the list before the boss gets back.

Dolly Grip & Sound Recordist Needed for the 17th Raindance Film Festival Trailer (London)
We need an experienced dolly grip who has used a Chapman Peewee and Miller ProJib and an experienced sound recordist.
The trailer will be shown before every screening at the festival in October. It will also be printed to 100 35mm copies and shown before features all over London and the Home Counties at Apollo & Pearl and Dean cinemas for a month in the lead up to the festival.
You need to be available on the entire day of the 18th of July.
The idea for the trailer is very strong and we're also looking at attaching an A-List star. It will be shot on location in central London.
As the trailer is being minimally funded by the IFT (Independent Film Trust) charity, and produced pro-bono by Agenda Collective so we'd only be able to cover expenses.
If you are interested in either position please contact: info@ontheagenda.co.uk

****** Help Wanted for Low Budget Film
We're shooting our first independent feature next month in the village of Knebworth, Hertfordshire (about 25 miles north of London). Despite the micro budget, we have an amazing cast, including Virginia McKenna, Diana Quick, Keith Michell and Geoffrey Whitehead. But we need help with our crew. The following positions are up for grabs:
- Camera Assistant (we're shooting HDCAM SR) - Boom Operator - Costume Assistant - Make-Up Assistant - Script Supervisor/Continuity - Behind the Scenes videographer
We can't pay upfront, as our budget is exhausted, but can pay on deferral basis with net point participation. Of course, expenses and meals will be provided. I can guarantee a lot of fun and a great experience. Filming days are 2 x 6 day weeks, from Sunday 9th August.

We, here at Raindance show our support for those affected by the Dean Street Fire.

But a quick glance through a list of famous Bruces, and you'll soon find out that zombies and pornography are exactly what you get.
Take a look here at some of the Bruces that you may have forgotten.
