GOODFINDER

In issue 179 I introduced the "Goodfinder", a slogan that resulted from a survey. The first trait of a Goodfinder is to "look for the good in yourself."

GOODFINDER PART DEUX

Of course it's easy to find fault in someone, especially if we judge them as a difficult person. That person could be a family member, a co-worker, a supervisor, an employee, a religious leader, or a fellow church member, a neighbor, etc. Today we look at the second trait-"looking for the good in others". How do we find that good in others? How do we experience that goodness? How is somebody demonstrating that goodness?

EXERCISE

I invite you to take this challenge this week.

1.         Find one person in your life whom you have trouble liking or in whom you haven't found much

            good.

2.         Find 3 good qualities in that person.

3.         If you have an opportunity, share those qualities with that person.

4.         Share with that person how those qualities are benefiting both of you.

I welcome hearing from you and learning with you.

"I love you...for passing over all the foolish, weak things that you can't help dimly seeing in me, and for drawing out into the light all the beautiful belongings that no one else had looked quite far enough to find."
