Registration for UWI SPEC Half Marathon is in High Gear!
With just 3 weeks to go, the countdown is on for the UWI SPEC Half Marathon which takes place on Sunday October 31, 2010. Don't be left out of the number one road race in the Caribbean.
These 13.1 miles of beautiful flat course starts at
6.00 am in front of UWI SPEC Building, heads north, turning right unto
the bus route, then east along for 6 1/2 miles to the turnaround point
at La Resource. The race then goes back along the same route to finish
in front of UWI SPEC building. This is an ideal race for beginners,
novices, experienced or career athletes alike.

Registration is in high gear and the only way to ensure that you are there for the starter's gun is by making sure that your registration is completed on time.
To register as part of the CariFin Team in Training for UWI SPEC half Marathon there are a few things you have to do:
- Fill out the Registration Form
- Submit copy photo ID (Driver's Permit/National ID
- Submit vest size
- Sign a Waiver Form
- Coupon from CariFin News Letter

An Interview with Ruth Frazer-Munroe

 CariFin Team in Training: Ruth, how many times have you been to these Championships? RFM: About five teams beginning in 2003. They hold regional games in even years and world games in odd years. CTIT: How was your experience at these Championships this time? RFM: The experience was very good particularly since
the CAC (Central American and Caribbean Games) had just finished at the
same venue before us, so the facilities were up to par. CTIT: Could you say what events you took part in and what were the results in these events? RFM: In my age group, 70-74, I participated in the
8K Cross Country run and obtained a gold medal. Then I was in both the
5000 race walk on the track and the 10000 race walk on the road,
