Greetings!

The construction industry is continuously evolving and adapting to fit the needs of both a population increasingly dependent on technology, as well as one that is astute and concerned about the  environmental impact of commercial development. This concern has parlayed into a "green" trend, where many civic and private projects are now seeking to achieve LEED® designation. The goal Green behind sustainable building is to construct more energy efficient buildings, reduce waste, and have a positive impact on health, safety, and community welfare.

Several members of the Seals/Biehle, Inc. team are LEED® AP and LEED®  AP BD+C accredited, demonstrating Seals/Biehle, Inc.'s commitment to the design and construction of sustainable, healthful and durable buildings.Through LEED® education and accreditation, our Seals/Biehle, Inc. team is able to provide clients and other team members with a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions which include but are not limited to sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality.

It's important that we all do our part to minimize our carbon footprint.

Sincerely,

Matt Seals
FLASHBACK: VISALIA'S WEST ACEQUIA PARKING STRUCTURE

Five years ago, Seals/Biehle, Inc. had just wrapped up construction on the West Acequia Parking Structure in the heart of downtown Visalia. The project, commissioned by the City of Visalia, consisted of the construction of a five level, post-tensioned cast-in-place WAPS concrete parking structure. The 210,000 square foot structure boasts a brick veneer, metal panel and stucco exterior and a blue glazed wall in one corner, which pays homage to an underground creek which passes below. This downtown Visalia parking garage houses an impressive 8,307 cubic feet of concrete and 691 parking stalls.
