  • Bringing  Some Exotica to Your Life            Nov 2009

 Greetings!

Some people enjoy the excitement of waiting until Christmas Eve night to purchase holiday gifts for friends and loved ones.  Some people like to give the same gift to everybody.  Some people prefer to give gift cards and let the receiver determine what to buy.  But some people like to give the gift of one-of-a-kind artwork to others or to themselves.  If you are the latter type of person then I hope that the events in this edition of the newsletter will spark your interest indeed!

                                                Enjoy your blessings . . .

Crocker Holiday Show on Thanksgiving Weekend (Nov 27-29)
(held at the Scottish Rite Center)

Kanika at the 2007 Crocker show

This year the holiday show will be held at the Scottish Rite Center, 6151 H Street, Sacramento, on Friday (Nov 27th) from 1-7 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Make an impression this holiday season with unique gifts from the Crocker's Holiday Art & Craft Festival like:

Jewelry, gourmet food items, ceramics & pottery, paintings and watercolors, cards and ornaments, and more!  Have your photo taken with a Victorian Santa. And there is a new checkout format this year where you buy directly from the artists.

Kanika African Sculptures will join 100 other fine artists on Thanksgiving weekend at the Scottish Rite Center to offer shoppers a wonderful variety of original arts and crafts. This is one of the premier fine art shows in Sacramento and I hope you will come.

I will be in booth #117 in the main room and will have many cool gift items like: goddess statues, clay platters, two- and three-dimensional mixed media sculptures, indoor/outdoor water fountains, African figurines, breast cancer survivor art, tile art, and Black Santa and angel ornaments. Coming on Friday gets you the best choice of art and gifts.

Hours open:

Friday 1-7 PM
Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM
Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM

Free to Crocker Art Museum members; seniors over 65 pay $3 and all others pay a $6 entry fee.
