CLE~January 28, 2010

AABA/CASL/CVLS Chinatown Pro Bono Clinic Training Session ~ February 17, 2010

Officer and Board Member Elections
2010-2011
AABA's 2010-2011 Nominating Committee invites you to become a more active and involved member of our bar association.
The Nominating Committee ("Committee") will be accepting nominations for consideration by the Committee starting March 1, 2010 through April 30, 2010. Self-nominations are encouraged!!!! At their option, candidates may also submit a one-page candidate statement by April 30, 2010. Candidate statements will be mailed with the official ballots, once approved by the Nominating Committee. Ballots will be sent to AABA members in late May, 2010. Ballots must be returned no later than 5:00 pm, June 14, 2010.
A "Meet the Candidates" event will be held in May 2010. Details to follow.
The following positions are open for election: SECOND VICE PRESIDENT (1 year term as 2nd VP, followed by a 1 year term as 1st Vice President, followed by a 1 year term as President) TREASURER (2 year term) SECRETARY ((2 year term) BOARD MEMBER (2 year term, 3 positions available) ** Please click here for descriptions of available positions **If you have any questions regarding any of the above positions, the elections in general, or your membership status, please contact Emily Riojas at [email protected].
PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to vote in the election but are not up-to-date on your dues or are a new member, you may do so if you pay your dues by the date you submit your ballot.

The Agency Day

AABA is proud to sponsor Women Everywhere: Partners in Service Project ("WE"). We invite you to join our collaborative efforts to make a difference in our communities and in the lives of women and children in need by volunteering for our annual Agency Day. The Agency Day, taking place on Friday, June 11, 2010, allows both male and female volunteers to give back to their community by volunteering their time to nearly 30 local service agencies dedicated to helping women and children in need.
