Matt Bezak
This popular artist has brought out many new designs for Christmas and this angel wings pendant just flew in for that special gift. Matt creates his pendants and earrings by the lost wax casting method. They are then hand finished and set in sterling silver or 14K gold. Kanwar Singh
Working exclusively in 18k gold and precious stones, Kanwar always delivers stunning jewelry pieces. This fabulous necklace is made of hundreds of sapphire briolettes. Scrimshaw with emotional appeal
By Kim and Katherine McClelland
| "From sorrow to joy" |
Scrimshaw was developed in the late 1800's by the American whalers, but declined in popularity until the 1960's when then President Kennedy identified himself as a collector. The revival increased in the 1970's when artists, such as Kim, began to take up the artform again. His wife, Katherine, says of Kim..."He is known for his intense, detailed work and his imagery is extensive." Kim also writes most of the poems and sentiments seen on their pieces. Click here to see these emotional works of art. When viewing, click on photo again to see it larger. They can be hung or displayed tabletop.

Small Business Saturday
Thanks to American Express!
Thank you customers for making the first ever Small Business Saturday a great success at Hanson Galleries. The big stores have had the lime light for too many years and it was time that small businesses like us are recognized for being economic drivers as well.
American Express teamed up with Facebook to pull this worthy promotion off on Saturday, November 27th and next year's event promises to be even bigger.

Nutcracker Market a resounding success!
30th Annual event was huge
As you know, Hanson Galleries had a booth at the Nutcracker Market this year introducing many new gift items and jewelry. It was the best attended and largest fund raiser the Houston Ballet group has ever produced.
It is always considered the kickoff of Houston's Christmas shopping season and this year's event didn't fail to accomplish exactly that.
