2nd, Long time Noel Rockmore friend, Dodie Smith-Simmons was on The Oprah Winfrey Show Wednesday as part of her role with the Freedom Riders in the 60s. Dodie also worked at Pres Hall & with Jazzfest and knew Noel quite well and collected Noel Rockmore. The show was fantastic and gave you an understanding of the courage that Dodie and the Freedom Riders had as they changed our nation's history forever. Dodie's husband John "Kid" Simmons is a noted Jazz Musician and his music is featured in the video, "The World According to New Orleans" that Tee is working on now.
