March 2009
Greetings!
Here at New York Guest, we are delighted to welcome the arrival of springtime, marked every year by the blooming of 3 million daffodils across the city, thanks to the Daffodil Project. Now is a great time to visit New York City, not just to experience the changing season, but to take advantage of the many great deals that are extending through the year. Take a look at what's going on! |
|
The Heat... We can already hear the roar of the crowd and smell peanuts and crackerjacks-- baseball season is upon us yet again! This year is particularly exciting as we get to witness the opening of not just one, but two, brand new baseball stadiums in New York! Citi Field is now the home of the New York Mets. With wider seats and more room between rows, Mets fans can experience the game in extra comfort. The new Yankee Stadium actually has fewer seats than it's predesessor, but up to 10 inches more legroom-- and seats closer to the action on the field. See the picture above of the side-by-side old and new stadiums. Mets play their opening day on April 13th, and the Yankees on April 16th.
Contact New York Guest not just for baseball tickets, but also for baseball packages including hotel rooms and transportation to and from the games. We'll make sure you have the best seat in the house and a great trip to New York City!

NYC Travel Advice...
Dear New York Guest,
I want to bring my husband and 2 kids to NYC this summer during the school break. What should we do, where should we stay, what are some money saving tips?
-- Alison Hendricks, Houston, TX
Summer is a great time to bring the kids to New York City, and July and August are particularly ripe for great deals this year. One way to save is to choose hotels that include breakfast. This will save you at least $50 a day! Also, make sure your hotel is close to a subway station and within walking distance to many of the city's great attractions-- for even more savings. Fun family activities include classics like the Observatory deck of the Empire State Building and NYC harbor cruises and local gems like the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre in Central Park and the newly returned and renovated Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
Contact us today to start planning your summer family vacation to New York City! We'll make sure you get a great deal and have a fun time for all! Send us your question to be considered for next month's newsletter. Chosen questions will receive a $25 gift certificate for our services! |
NYG News...
In addition to our busy activities planning travel for our many leisure and
corporate clients, we've been doing a fair amount of travel planning for
ourselves lately, as we spread the word about the good work we're doing here at
New York Guest. Jeannette Dye is currently in South America speaking at a conference for Corporate Planners. This trip occurs right on the heels of another
excursion she took up to Boston to meet with several of our European clients.
In the coming months, we are no less travelled. At one point or
the other, our management team members will head to
Chicago and the Midwest, Philadelphia, Washington and the Southeast, the West Coast and then to several European stops. A
return to South America in June is also planned. In each of these locations we will be looking to expand our marketing programs to reach new
clients.
In other news, we are very excited about the arrival of West Side Story, which just opened to rave reviews. This show is sure to be a sell-out, please call us for ticket details and Broadway packages.
And finally, we'd like to hear from you! Are there new programs and packages that you
would like to see offered by New York Guest? We encourage and welcome clients and friends comments
and ideas. Tell us whenever you want to see something new and special and we'll make it happen.
Best regards,
John
