October 2008
Greetings!
We've added a new feature to the New York Guest website: an archive of our previous editions of InSight. This is especially useful for our readers who have just recently joined us! Take a look at previous editions of Insight.
We have a packed newsletter this month, but please don't forget that we are constantly updating newyorkguest.com with new and exciting travel deals! |

The Heat... I heard a Christmas song on the radio last week and it isn't even Halloween yet-- that must mean the holidays are already heating up! November and December are such a special time in New York. The holiday lights go up, the temperature goes down, and everyone can feel that special certain something in the air. To help you make the most of your holiday season, we are offering three great holiday packages:
Big Apple Thanksgiving: See the greatest parade in the world, enjoy an incredible Thanksgiving dinner (with no dishes to wash up!), and take in the best that New York has to offer each holiday season.
Holiday Shopping Spectacular:Why not shake up your holiday shopping? Avoid the parking lot at your local mall and come to exciting NYC for a Spectacular Shopping trip!
Holiday Traditions: Start a new holiday tradition! After the shopping rush is over, a certain calm takes over New York in the few days leading up to Christmas. Let New York Guest help you enjoy this very special time of year.

What's Tasty... This information is hot off the presses! New York institution, the Magnolia Bakery, has just opened a new outlet in Midtown at 49th and 6th (Rockefeller Center)-- dangerously close to the New York Guest headquarters in Times Square. We encourage you to pay them a visit now, before word gets out and lines for their delicious treats get unbearably long! And feel free to bring us a cupcake or two while you're in the neighborhood. |
NYG Profile... Though her title is "Director of International Sales", Jeannette Dye might better be referred to as "One who knows everything and anything about New York City". Some of you may remember her as the energetic Senior Concierge at one of our partner hotels, but these days you are most likely to find her speaking Spanish and French as she coordinates itineraries for groups and individuals from all over the world. Whenever someone comes to New York Guest with a special need or request we all say, "Ask Jeannette", because no matter what you are looking for, she knows where to find it. Feel free to test her knowledge yourself by contacting Jeannette at jdye@newyorkguest.com.

NYG News... When New York Guest says that no request is too big, too small, or too specialized, we don't mean that figuratively. In recent days we have had the pleasure of assisting a very unique client:
Our corporate client, a large internationally recognized firm, requested a tour of NYC focusing on police-related sites. Led by a retired police detective who is now a licensed NYC tour guide, we took the group to the Police Museum, the Police Academy, the 9th Precinct (home of NYPD Blue), the World Trade Center Site, One Police Plaza, the Fire Department Museum and the Brooklyn Bridge for a special rescuers tour on how people are saved from tragedies on the Bridge.
As you can imagine, our clients left happy yet exhausted-- not to mention full of lots of knowledge about New York's Finest.
Let New York Guest help you with all your New York City arrangements. From a simple airport transfer, to complex multi-day functions, we have the resources and experience to make planning easy.
Best Regards,
John
