| Our Mission
Triad Health Project provides emotional and practical support to individuals living with HIV/AIDS, to their loved ones, and to those at risk for HIV/AIDS; implements strategies to educate those at risk and the community about HIV/AIDS; and advocates locally, regionally, and nationally for individuals and groups infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
Our Vision
We will stand together for as long as it takes until HIV/AIDS is no more, working together to promote enlightenment, dignity, acceptance, understanding, and love, demonstrating that we are not only enduring this epidemic, but prevailing over it. |

Dear Friends,
2011 marks Triad Health Project's 25th year of providing HIV/AIDS services to our community. We are enormously proud of our accomplishments but you will not hear us use the word "celebrate" this year.
Our 25th anniversary is not a festive occasion - HIV/AIDS remains a vicious epidemic and in 1986 our founders never envisioned that we would still need to be here. And yet the need for our services has never been greater.
This year we want to honor our 25th anniversary by sharing our stories with you in meaningful ways. We also want to hear from you - your memories of THP, your hopes for our future. So in the coming months, look for stories and reflections in our newsletter, our Facebook page and other communications. And let us hear from you.
Gratitude is the word that will frame this 25th year of service for all of us at THP. We are profoundly aware that it is only because of the generosity and compassion of our community that we have been able to reach this milestone.
Thank you for standing with us - always.
V. Addison Ore
Executive Director

The response to our 2010 Holiday Giving Campaign has been heartwarming!
Our work simply would not be possible without the generous and consistent support of our community of friends, near and far, and we are deeply grateful.

The results are in...
Over $103,000 raised!!
Thank you so much to all of our walkers, donors, and sponsors for making the 19th Annual Winter Walk for AIDS a HUGE success!

Higher Ground, THP's day center, is a beautiful, safe haven offering spiritual and physical nourishment. Higher Ground's activities and facilities are available to all persons affected by HIV/AIDS, including clients and their families, community volunteers, and staff of appropriate community and health organizations.

Reflections ~ 25 Years
The following poem was written at Higher Ground by James McNair, a beloved friend of the THP community who passed away in October 2008. As we embark on our 25th Anniversary year, James' words call to us, remind us, and nudge us forward. Thank you, James, for speaking to us still.
You are here...you are home...you are at that pivotal point where any attempt to be distracted and not take the very best care of yourself will not be tolerated.
We are here to not make excuses, we are here to lovingly hold one another and we are here to listen, to learn, to instruct others on the intricacies and delicacies of love.
And, you are here to advance the cause of humanity, and you are here to compassionately witness how concern and care have the power to raise the dead and resurrect lives.
Because you are here for a reason, and whether it's a mystery to you, to a divine and benevolent Creator, it's not.
- James McNair (1952-2008) |
