 As believers and disciples of Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha Mochiach) our Lord and Savior, we should desire to follow in His footsteps and act and do as He. When I was in the world, this was quite easy, as a child I would choose to mimic my hero's and as a young man I would try to emulate the things I learned from others who I thought were the best. Jesus taught that man does not live on bread alone. Therefore, we should be in His word daily to receive nourishing for our souls and understanding for our minds. It was from doing this that as a new believer that I learned that all who come to Christ are "saints", not just those the Roman Catholic church deems as so, as I was taught growing up. For me this added another to the growing list of false teachings from an institution that I had once defended to some degree in my ignorance and I was feeling ever more betrayed and sickened. The New Testament declares that when a person gives their life to Christ and He becomes their Lord and Savior, that person is now a saint by calling. Pope John Paul II cum Carol Wojtyla: Looking for a Miracle |  MORIEL MINISTRIES - By James Jacob Prasch - January 18, 2011
It is "haggios" in the Greek New Testament, "kodesh" in Hebrew Tanakh, and "sanctus" in the Latin Vulgate. Call them "kadoshim" or call them "saints", it still means "holy ones" and Scripture calls all of those redeemed and sanctified by Christ through The Holy Spirit "Saints". The Roman Catholic Church however, has a different definition from the scriptural one. To the papacy, it is elevating someone to the doctrinal authority of the Word of God by pronouncing him or her as "canon". Much as Romanism teaches an unscriptural priesthood apart from the priesthood of all believers, it likewise teaches a separate status of sainthood apart from the sainthood of all believers taught in God's Word. It goes beyond this however; by teaching that the "surplus grace" merited by these, "canonized saints" goes into the Treasury of Merits administered by the Roman Catholic clergy and church for the awarding of indulgences. The sale of these is how the Vatican's construction was financed. The Dominican indulgence merchant Tetzel (Johann Tetzel) preached that one could rape Mary, the Mother of Jesus and buy forgiveness if they came up with the right price. For all of Luther's indefensible later faults, this outrage infuriated him into writing the 95 Theses. The Dominicans are the same folks who both gave us the Spanish Inquisition and tortured and murdered countless tens of thousands in the name of Christ, but also whose Dominican nuns were sentenced 10 years ago for orchestrating genocide in Rwanda with at least 7,000 victims lying dead at the feet of the same Dominican order. The Roman Church needs canonized saints because saints mean money, relics, sacramental icons, and pilgrimages, which mean more money. Two million are expected in Rome to attend the beatification of John Paul II. The Hebrew term for grace is "hesed" meaning "Divine Covenant Mercy". The Greek term is "charism" meaning "gift". The English term grace means "unmerited favor". How one can earn or merit that which by nature and definition is unmerited and un-earnable (except by the solitary merit of Christ) is one problematic question. How the Roman Catholic church could canonize papal warlords of the Dark Age or, more preposterous still, those whom the papacy admit never even existed such as St. Christopher, is yet another. Enter John Paul II. In order to get his halo, two alleged miracles must be attributed to Karol Wojtyla as required by Roman Catholic Canon Law. So far, they claim to have one. The Devil's advocate can relax. We can easily find another miracle. It is a miracle that as an unprincipled obstructer of Justice who protected sex pervert pedophile priests and nuns at the expense of not protecting the defenseless children whose lives these sex criminals destroyed he was never indicted and brought to Justice. Under his direction, his deputy Joseph "Rottweiler" Ratzinger (now Pope Benedict XVI) reissued Pope John XXIII's Criminales Solicitaciones (i.e., "Criminal Solicitation"). In the USA alone, 177 out of 179 Roman Catholic dioceses and archdiocese have been proved libel in court for protecting criminal pedophile clergy instead of protecting their victims. The same track record is found in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Britain, and worse in Catholic countries such as Ireland and Brazil. Wojtyla promoted his friend Boston Cardinal Law to a position in Rome when Law was forced out of Boston due to his systematic shielding of his baby raping vultures in cassocks allowing the continuing violation of children. Now we are told Wojtyla is a "saint". This is a miracle. Wojtyla also canonized the fascist pro-Nazi founder of Opus Dei Josemarie Escriva. At the height of the bloodshed in the former Yugoslavia, he also blessed the legacy of the Ustasha Nazi Archbishop Stepinac who was directly complicit in the holocaust of three quarters of a million Serbs and Jews. It is a miracle that the world does not stand up and denounce this villain as the antichrist reprobate he truly was. Indeed, the Epistle of St. John tells us that denial of the Father-Son relationship of Jesus is "antichrist"; yet Wojtyla publicly and reverentially kissed the Quran which states that "God is not Begotten and does not Beget - God Has No Son". God's Word calls this antichrist. Is it not a miracle that this abomination is popularly ignored? Is it not a miracle that a pope who refused to hand over Vatican Bank president Bishop Paul Marcinkus to Italian police authorities, but rather hid him in the Vatican during the Ambrosiano Bank scandal is a fact purged from papal history? Instead of branding him for what he actually was based on what he actually did, the Roman Catholic Church wants to canonize him a saint. But why not? The papacy did the same with multiple authors of tyranny and murder such as the mystical founder of the Jesuits Ignatius Loyola ("if it is daylight and the Catholic church says it is night - we must believe it is night"; the Jesuits murdered countless innocent souls) and the founder of the Dominicans ("Women are devious because the rib is crooked and Eve was made from Adam's rib" which led to the internal gynecological torture of women by his followers in the inquisitions). The all-enduring and all-eclipsing papal legacy of hypocrisy and revisionism continues unabated as usual. May the God of heaven in His mercy draw people out of Satan's lie of Roman Catholicism and into a saving faith in the real Jesus of the Scriptures. As millions of ex-Catholics have discovered, salvation is not found in necromancy, graven image veneration, pedophile priesthoods, religious traditions of men, mass cards, or indulgences of nefarious dead people canonized as saints, some of whom never existed; salvation is found in Christ alone. The Good News for our Roman Catholic friends is that salvation is by regeneration, not by sacraments, and comes directly from Jesus, not a corrupt papal agency or child molesting clergy. The blood of Christ cleanses from all sin. They do not have to atone in an imagined purgatory for their own. Pope Benedict XVI has confirmed a miracle attributed to his predecessor, John Paul II, paving the way for him to be beatified at a ceremony which could draw up to a million pilgrims to Rome.
Benedict gave the green light for John Paul's beatification, due to take place on May 1, after signing a decree that attributed the recovery of a French nun from Parkinson's disease to a beyond-the-grave intercession by the Polish pontiff.
A second miracle would be needed and have to be verified for him to be made a saint.
The ceremony in St Peter's Basilica, which will be presided over by Benedict, will attract hundreds of thousands and is expected to give the Roman Catholic Church a much-needed boost at a time when it has been discredited by worldwide scandals over paedophile priests.
Lech Walesa, the former leader of the Solidarity trade union who became Poland's president, said John Paul deserved the honour because he had played a key role in the collapse of Communism.
"Without him, there would have been no Solidarity in Poland. It was the Polish pope and Solidarity that contributed to the disappearance of Communism in Europe in the 20th century," he said.
Benedict put his much-loved predecessor on the fast track to sainthood just weeks after John Paul died in 2005.
The French nun, Sister Marie Simon-Pierre, claims she woke up two months after John Paul died to find herself cured of Parkinson's.
She maintains that the paralysis in the left side of her body disappeared, her hands no longer shook and she was able to drive a car and walk normally, despite having suffered from the disease for four years.
She attributed her recovery to praying to John Paul, who also suffered from Parkinson's.
To millions of Catholics, she became living proof that he had the power to heal the sick even from beyond the grave.
Doubts were raised over the miracle last year after claims by a Polish newspaper that a doctor who scrutinised the case concluded that Sister Marie may not have been suffering from Parkinson's but from a nervous disorder from which recovery is possible.
But on Friday, the Congregation for the Causes of Saints said Vatican-appointed doctors had "scrupulously" studied the case and determined that there was no scientific explanation for the cure. ...
Critics have pointed out, however, that many of the cases of child abuse by priests occurred during his papacy and have questioned why he did not do more to address the problem.
In Poland, meanwhile, plans to turn an ampoule containing Pope John Paul II's blood into a holy relic were condemned as "medieval".
Krzysztof Madal, an influential Jesuit priest, criticised plans to include the ampoule in the altar of a new church in a town near Krak�w, saying it would mark a return "to the medieval practices of the past". ...
The blood was taken by doctors at the Gemelli Clinic in Rome during a tracheotomy operation, carried out shortly before the Pope's death.

John Paul II to Be Beatified in the Spring

VATICAN CITY - Pope Benedict XVI moved his beloved predecessor one step closer to sainthood on Friday, confirming a miracle by John Paul II and setting May 1, the first Sunday after Easter, as the date of his beatification.
The designation means he is considered "blessed" and can be publicly venerated. Sainthood would follow after the confirmation of one more miracle.
Thousands are expected to attend the beatification ceremony. Benedict is expected to celebrate the Mass himself, a much-needed bright spot in his papacy, which in recent months has been weathering a sexual abuse scandal in Europe and violence against Christians in the Middle East.
Wildly popular, John Paul was seen as a man of his time, a Pole who marshaled the Catholic Church's energies to help end the cold war. But he was also criticized for how he handled a sexual abuse crisis that burgeoned in the United States as early as the 1980s.
At John Paul's funeral in April 2005, the faithful filled Saint Peter's Square, some carrying banners reading "Santo subito," or "Sainthood now." Benedict honored their wishes, putting John Paul on a fast track to sainthood, waiving the traditional five-year waiting period for the process to begin, but insisting on a thorough investigation into his life.
Benedict said Friday in a decree that a French nun had been miraculously cured of Parkinson's disease thanks to John Paul's intercession. John Paul himself had Parkinson's. In a statement, Benedict said that a Vatican-appointed committee of cardinals, bishops, doctors and theologians had determined that the recovery of Sister Marie Pierre Simon from Parkinson's was "miraculous" and "scientifically inexplicable."
Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, the archbishop of Krakow and John Paul's longtime personal secretary, said he was thrilled at the news. He said he was "happy" that the wish for "santo subito, that people have been praying for, is finally coming true."
John Paul's 26-year papacy was full of milestones. In 1979, as Cardinal Karol Wojtyla of Krakow, he became the first non-Italian to become pope in four centuries. He was the first pope to visit a mosque and a synagogue, and on his watch the church issued its first new catechism in nearly 500 years. In 2000, he asked pardon for the church's sins against Jews, women, heretics and minorities.
His popularity grew after he survived an assassination attempt by a Turkish gunman in 1981, and in his later years, his slow decline from Parkinson's disease was seen as a poignant example of one man facing death without fear.
But some dark clouds hang over his papacy. John Paul was supportive of the Rev. Marcial Maciel Degollado, a Mexican priest who founded a powerful religious order, the Legionaries of Christ, and who was found to have abused seminarians and fathered several children.
At the height of the abuse scandal last spring, Benedict's defenders said that when he lead of the Vatican's doctrinal and disciplinary office, Benedict wanted to open an investigation into Father Maciel, but that cardinals close to John Paul blocked him. The Vatican reopened an investigation into the Legionaries of Christ in 2004, when John Paul was in serious decline. Last May, the Vatican strongly condemned Father Maciel, who died in 2008, and placed the Legion under Benedict's direct control.
Defenders of John Paul said he was dismissive of early reports of abuse by priests because he considered it a tactic used by the Communist Party in Eastern Europe to weaken the church.
The news of the beatification was warmly received in his native Poland.
"I remember kneeling beside his open coffin in St. Peter's Basilica," said Kazimierz Nycz, the archbishop of Warsaw. "It never even crossed my mind to pray for him. I've always prayed directly to him. I've always known he is a saint."

Despite the supernatural forces involved, the path to sainthood is a highly bureaucratic process.
Candidates must be dead for at least five years, having lived a particularly holy life, before local people can begin a Cause for their canonisation, although this requirement was waived in the cases of Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II.
A department of the Holy See known as the Congregation for the Causes of Saints then tells the bishop of the diocese where the candidate died to start collecting proof that they are deserving of the honour, with witnesses called to give evidence in front of a tribunal before the proposed saint is declared to be a Servant of God.
Next the church will elevate a candidate to Venerable status once it has examined all the evidence of their life as well as their writings.
The most difficult box to tick is that of the miracle. The Vatican requires that something physical beyond the normal laws of science has taken place as a direct result of prayers being offered to the candidate for canonisation. Officials scrutinise the claims very carefully before the Pope declares that a miracle did indeed happen thanks to a prayer of intercession.
A beatification ceremony will then be held - after which the proposed saint is known as Venerable - usually in the place where they lived or work. It is unusual for the Pope himself to carry out this process.
Once the candidate is accepted for beatification, the search begins for a second miracle ascribed to them. Only after that has been accepted can a canonisation ceremony happen, usually overseen by the Pope himself in Rome.
The new saint can then be venerated by Catholics worldwide, with their own feast day, as an "example of holiness that we can follow with confidence".
These rules have been tightened up under Benedict XVI, following concerns that his predecessor, John Paul II, was running a "saint factory" by proclaiming more than 500 saints - more than the total for the previous five centuries.
