ASD commends the staff of Kelso Cornelius Funeral Home in Hummelstown, PA for helping to ensure every family in their community could enjoy a real Thanksgiving dinner. Striking architecture is not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a funeral home, but with modern features and a contemporary design, the recently opened Chicago Funeral Home's chapel in Skokie, IL is helping to change the perception of today's funeral homes. Featured in a recent issue of the Chicago Tribune, the newly constructed building uses natural light, space and high ceilings to create an airy and welcoming environment for families. ASD Staff Is Professional and Compassionate in All Situations! Each week, ASD awards four employees with an "Outstanding Service Award". "Outstanding Service Awards" are given to ASD Staff who exhibit the sensitivity and attention to detail that set ASD apart from other answering services. Recent examples of "Outstanding Service Awards": - Training Call Specialist, Alana, determined a caseworker inquiring about the funeral home's history was actually calling to report a passing.
- Assistant Supervisor, Renee, retrieved contact information from a caller who wanted to call back later about making Pre-Arrangements.
- Advanced Call Specialist, Denise, assisted a caller who wanted to view her son before the funeral home cremated him.

ASD will participate in the Angel Tree Program which benefits Children's Choice Inc., a nonprofit child welfare agency for domestic adoption and foster children. ASD employees will purchase a gift to a child who might otherwise not receive any. Employees can select a paper angel with a child's name, age and his or her Christmas list. Last year, ASD employees donated over forty gifts to the program.
