February 22-March 15, Housing Committee Housing Needs Study
Members of the Town's Housing Committee began distributing a Housing
Needs Survey on February 22. The survey responses are due by
March 15. The one page survey, which has been distrubuted to a
number of places around the town, including Town Hall, the IGA and
First Niagara and area churches, seeks to determine if current housing
in the town meets the needs of its residents and employees of its local
businesses and institutions, and if not, what changes might be
proposed. Are families paying more than 30% of their gross household
income on housing costs --including rent or mortgage payments, taxes and
utilities? Do seniors need additional housing options? It is hoped
that the survey will be completed and returned on the spot.
The survey can also be completed on line at surveymonkey.com/s/6RSJ3MM. For questions, contact committee members Joe Browdy 518-325-5087 or Maureen Rodgers at 518-325-3610.
