Yoga Retreats at the Ranch
We're happy to report that we recently hosted another successful yoga retreat for Desert Song Yoga. Their practice took place indoors in our yoga studio, pictured above, and outdoors at the foot of the beautiful Chiricahua Mountains. We'll keep you posted when our next yoga retreats will take place. Meanwhile if you visit us for an overnight stay, we'll be happy to arrange a session or two with one of our expert local practitioners. ______________________________________

New Friends at the Ranch
The three goslings shown here comprise this year's first clutch. Our hope is that we'll have more later in the season. Meanwhile there are other additions to the Sunglow Ranch family. We now have ten 6-month old laying hens. In contrast to the geese, they're quite tame, easy to hold and produce a rich harvest of eggs every day.

Tombstone Documents Found in Bisbee
A missing handwritten transcript from a coroner's inquest conducted after the legendary gunfight at the OK Corral resurfaced in a dusty box more than 125 years after the most famous shootout in Wild West history. The document was discovered when court clerks stumbled on the box while reorganizing files in an old jail storage room in Bisbee, the Cochise County county seat. Stuffed inside was an envelope marked "keep" with the date 1881.
The papers include a description of "Doc" Holliday by a witness at the 19th-century inquest. "Mr Holliday. . . had a gun under his coat. He had a long coat. The way I noticed the gun is that his coat would blow open, and he tried to keep it covered." The gunfight became one of the defining moments of America's lawless push to the Pacific. Wyatt Earp, his two brothers and Holliday faced a gang of cattle-rustlers, leaving Frank and Tom McLaury and Bill Clanton dead in the streets of Tombstone. Johnny Ringo, allegedly also a participant in the cattle-rustling lawlessness of the old west is buried less than a mile from Sunglow Ranch.______________________________________

What our Guests are Saying...
"If you're looking for an enchanted get-away, you need to check out
Sunglow Ranch in Pearce, Arizona... Upon our arrival, my sister and I
enjoyed a much needed massage, while our parents toasted newly hatched
goslings on the veranda with a bottle of wine from a local vineyard.
Our meals were marvelous; a gourmet dinner in the charming caf, and a
hearty breakfast the next morning before setting out on a 3-mile hike
that wandered through woods, across a cold running creek, grassy
pastures and up around the base of the Chiricahua Mountains. Our casita
style lodging was wonderfully decorated with a western flair and had
every amenity imaginable - if it weren't for the gorgeous views from
our back porch, I could have sworn I was in a swanky New York hotel.
The staff was incredibly pleasant and never too busy to answer our
multitude of questions regarding the ranch and surrounding areas.
Sunglow was the best get-away we've had in years - it even warranted a
column in our company newsletter!." - lionlora, Tucson
