Capture a moment in 2010...
 Jay Dusard
Sunglow Workshops offers a wide variety of photography workshops. The high desert, its landscape and its people, make unique and diverse subjects for photographers. Capturing those subjects in the form of a photographic image is a creative process--learning to see as an artist and then translate the vision in your mind's eye to your photograph. Regardless of whether you shoot digital, film, small, medium or large format, discovering and expanding that creative process is what will take your photography to the next level.
Consider joining us for one of our early 2010 photography workshops:
Join Jay Dusard and explore distinctive and memorable locations and people. The agenda includes the Chiricahua National
Monument, Old Bisbee, a working cattle ranch, and many other sites
surrounding our home base at Sunglow Ranch.
Expand beyond the foundations of portraiture, evaluating lens choice, lighting patterns,
design, composition, and a broad array of strobes and
modifiers with Alan M. Thornton.
Develop an eye for the uniqueness of a place, and compose images that
capture subtleties and reflect personal interpretation of the
environment with Barbara Bosworth.
Immerse yourself in local communities,
researching possible stories, meeting subjects, negotiating access, and
photographing with Mary Beth Meehan.
In addition to the more rigorous photography workshops that Sunglow Workshops schedules, we also offer Alan M. Thornton's Beyond the Snapshot for amateurs wishing to improve skills and unleash creativity. This fun and
creative workshop will help build a distinctive eye
that is all your own.
Our workshop class size is limited to eight participants. Please
call ahead for more information--we frequently add new topics to our line-up. Advance reservation are required for participation. Please call 888-450-1684 or email us.

Sunglow Ranch introduces "Le Salon" WeekendsSalon:
"a gathering of intellectual, social, political and cultural elites
under the roof of an inspiring host, partly to amuse one another and
partly to increase knowledge through conversation."EVOLVE LISTEN REASON ENGAGE ENRICH
Salon weekends were created to entertain and to educate. We ask each guest to speak for fifteen to thirty minutes on a subject that inspires their passion. The choice of subject matter is entirely up to the speaker. We encourage candor, boldness and thoughtfulness. Our goal is to share with and learn from each other in an intimate setting.
Our first Salon Weekend will be held February 5-7, 2010. We'll detail some of the discussions in our March newsletter.
For information about future salon weekends, please email or call us at 866-786-4569. __________________________________________________________
